Eh... E-Class drivers help
I got a quote for $3600 for about 80 ponies. Anyone done anything similar to their vehicles for cheaper/more power? The company for mine is like, Euroteck or something like that. RennTech says $6500 gets me 120 ponies, pulley included.
Just trying to sort through everything. It's the main reason my E55 remained stock; I wasn't quite sure where to turn, a bit overwhelming really. There is so much available I have hard time trusting the numbers from everyone. Anyone have some good insight from personal expeirence?
Thanks in advance!

RennTech is pretty good and provides conservative (and consistent) numbers.
Also, you may want to consider EvoTech. They are also high quality but cheaper than RennTech. Adam provides the best customer service you'll ever get

E55Jay, question: I've heard that the airfilters in actuality only improve hp--rw or otherwise-- if combined with the ECU, otherwise it's a waste of money; any truth in that? From what I can recall the engine already gets more then enough air with the current computer set-up. That's what I heard anyways...
AMGfan, I searched for the member you mentioned and he drives a SL65.
Did I find the right person?Just to sum things up, RennTECH is the way to go? Or Evotech? I'm so lost, what is essentially the difference between the two? Or the difference between any tuners chip compared to each other? Aren't they all doing the same thing; boosting the PSI?
Thanks again guys!
