Aparently, it costs another $100 per car to spray VHT as well as provide adequate track prep, but they were not willing to do it
They ruined a good day for racing. With good track prep, I'm sure I could've hit 12.30s

ON my behalf
Sup guys. It was lots of fun indeed. My car wasn't tuned by any one for any type of fuel. The only mod I had was a resonator delete and I have a 300lb stereo system with sub and amp and box in my trunk as well. I am not the car with the black tinted windows and the chrome wheels either! ADam You know my car better than that!!! I had 2 12.2 times and one 12.4something and the rest 4 were 12.5's. The two times that I got the 12.2 was when I ran on the left side of the track, for some reason it was stickier or maybe it was because the water sat in the pit better there. I was running 20's and only 245's on the rear so im not sure what my weight advantage is but I definately know I did not have any traction advantages running 245's on a 10.5inch wheel. This was my first time EVER running quarter mile with any of my cars before. I was stoked that the m5 couldn't beat me. Made my day. Good job everyone!

It was awesome meeting all you guys that I didn't already know, and thanks for the compliments on the car. On the 12.2 runs, i had AWESOME traction and for one of those 12.2 runs I ran up against the m5 when he got a 12.57ish, that was an awesome feeling indeed.
Great group of enthusiast, im glad I brought all the ice bags!

Great times you guys...considering.
Wonder why they stopped prepping the track?? I sure wanna come down, but 700+miles and 12 hours (towing car) each way to slip and slide would be rough.
Friday night when I went last time, the track seemed in pretty good shape. Maybe it was just the rain combined with no track prep like someone said.
Still great to see so many AMG's there. What did the turb M3 run?? Any numbers on the Bimmers?

Depends really on where it comes from. You want to have weight over the rear wheels to help you launch. My 60' times get worse as my fuel loads dip below 1/4 tank. So too little weight could actually hurt your e.t.'s.
BTW - That they sprayed no VHT is absolute bull. What kind of a rental is this? I would have flipped out on the track and thrown a *****-fit. You guys paid good money to use it, they should spray it.

Awsome pics guys!!!!! I'm a little dissappointed that the SLK55R had traction issues and could not show it's real stuff, but none the less good pics and vids. I see the SRT8's represented as well. The Red SRT8 made pot roast out of the SLK55R.
That's the most 63's I've seen in one place!
