Aftermath : 12/08/07 Sacramento Raceway
yeah that was a run that I was losing tracking like crazy first half of the track. After stomping on it after 1/2 point I still beat the stang.
Btw there were some sick cars there. There was a modified cobra in the 10s, a M3(horsepowerfreaks) that was trapping deep in the 120s, an Audi that was also mid 11s trapping in the 120s.

Great seeing you again as well..
12.7 on that track is nothing to be disappointed in..We may as well have laid a sheet of ice in front of that first beam..LOL,
Thanks for the kind words
my Best ET for that day was 12.557
MPh was 111.77
But I think I did do 115.XX miles once, that dam yellow slip they gave can't see ***** on it.
Here's the Video of that run, I was running with Jon2007E63P30's E63. Enjoy

so shawns 11.7 E55 was the best we could do .. oh well better days ahead, next time hope they spray the track
Was wondering if anyone had any vids of the black C6?
I was only able to get in three good runs, others I had to let off, traction was terrible.
12.10@121.1 2.11
12.08@117.9 2.09
12.18@120.7 2.14
Anyways it was great seeing so many nice cars out there. Peace.
I wonder if I had -1.0 neg camber and my Kumho Victoracers on if my 60 ft times would come down a bunch and result in a higher trap speed and faster ET's.
I might go back again when I get my LSD in and try one more time with my better tires which are 275/40/17 Kumho R-compounds.
The only way I could launch was to load the convertor to about 1500 rpm's and then ease out on the gas until I got past 20mph and knew the car would not down shift, but still stay in 1st gear and run out to shift into 2nd gear.
If I tried anymore throttle the tires would just spin and spin. I had two runs like that with 3.0 sec 60 ft times and 14.0 sec ET's
I pretty sure my times and speed would be very similar to PTE's time and speed if I did the above. Maybe a 12.8 sec and 111mph or so, vs. 13.2 sec and 109mph. I guess will just have to go try.
And Carl the Ram Air does come in nice on the last half of the run. The engine is still pulling real hard. I could actually pull on a either a C5 or early 2007, yellow C6 Corvette and against the one stock E55 Kompressor I was only getting pulled by just a few mph, about 3 mph on the one guy I lined up with.
Jeff
I started off with a goal of hitting 116 trap speed since someone on the board said that the 2004's usually run 112-114 and the 05-06 run 115-117.
Out of the box I started with a 12.452 @ 116.707 with a 2.131 60'...so much for that theory

I followed that up with a with a 12.359 @ 116.648 with a 2.067 60'.
My third run, which some of you saw I forgot to turn the ESC back on and pitched it sideways....I still managed to run a 13.835 @ 113.642

My 4th run was 12.353 @ 117.260 with a 2.094 60'.
My 5th run was 12.468 @ 117.735 with a 2.218 60'.
My best run was 12.255 @ 117.016 not sure of the 60' Adam has the slip.
During one run my fan came on before, during and after the burnout and I ran 12.742 @ 115.245 with a 2.165 60' so due to heat I lost almost 2mph and .5 sec.
My last run of the day was another 12.261 @ 116.530 with a 1.967 60'.
My car is all stock on 275/30/19's Nitto 555 @ 25lbs.
I think that if I can get my 60' down to 1.6-1.7 that it is a 11.9-12.0 car.
Maybe next time I will inflate the front tires to 40lbs, take out the spare & tools, hit the treadmill to drop 25lbs and tilt the sunroof to create more downforce while going down the track

oh by the way I also ran another 12.274 @ 116.634 with a 2.011 60'.
all in all it was a great day!

Simple pulley and FMIC and you should be close to 119/120 with good traction.
I'm not sure if I agree about the trap speed variation between model years. Too many factors to make that call. If anything, E55 vary by engine not so much by year.
on the same track on the same day and with the existing conditions..
stock vs stock.. who ran the fastest trap and ETA?
Just wanted to know if anyone recalls seeing the car. Thanks!

Holy smokes....
Fastest runs I have seen in an E55 here in California that is STOCK!!!That entire day I thought your car had mods, cause you were trapping so high!!!!
Man great driving as nobody was pulling those low times like you. I enjoyed talking to your son, without his encouragement I would have stayed sulking in the stands..LOL.. Your E55 was out trapping the other cars by a wide margin, the other stock 55 pulled a slighty lower ET but only managed 111 mph.
Man I had my Nitto's in the trunk, guess I shoulda tried it!!!! Dam nice passes, see you again soon.
Just wanted to know if anyone recalls seeing the car. Thanks!
I think Hammer Down has the fastest stock 55 time in the WEST?/////
Now do you believe people when they say the weather effects the 55's badly?
Now do you believe people when they say the weather effects the 55's badly?
Why do you suppose shawn could not beat his Fontana times? I know the traction boned him but shouldnt his car trapped higher than the stock 55's? Also the slk 55 even on his best pass was out trapped by this 55? The other 55's never got close 115 let alone 117, so one of the cars traps 117 while the other 5 cars are 110-113
12.15 is dam quick and totally possible in cool air, I think a 63 will do this with a better 60. what do you guys think were the 55's whooping up on the 63's? I raced a E55(uurfantasy) and it was decided by .19/1000ths with my car outrapping that 55 by 4 mph and my et was .026 faster.. LOL, he did tree me

But it also seems like the 55s benefit much more from the good weather as well.
The reason I was in doubt was because in a hot day @ Fontana, stock 55s were running 12.9 to 13.1 while 63 were running 12.7 to 12.9. But when we went to good weather, E55s ran 12.2 to 12.4 all day long while E63 had trouble breaking 12.5

Even Shawn's car (stage 2) had trouble breaking 12.0s all day (and he had brand new drag radials on) until last couple of runs, he managed one 11.7 pass
So if he averaged 12.0 that day, then his mods didn't really improve his car from stock E55s running at 12.20s. Also, I think traction was worst for him due to the power his car was putting down

Whats the SLK55? Have no idea of what he has?
The 55 have more than just one or even two items that are capable of ruining the trap speeds. Its been explained over and over, the many inputs that are capable of killing the trap speeds on the 55's.The ECU pulls timing far to soon on the 55's.
