Put it this way,if I dont get a deposit on my car this week then I'll head up there with you on the next trip.If not I'll take the BMW or ride along with you or Mo.

I cant even picture you trying to drive that thing in the snow with those tires!

Renntech Supercharger
Custom ECU tune
Supersprint Headers, Cats, Xpipe
was running on 19 Carlsson Uls on GSD3s.

Yeah it sure was ... I ran like 5 times and I shut down 3 times. I stopped at that point because I was sure someone was gonna crash. Then they threw down VHT on one side and I got one run in. On that run I had a 2.2 at the start so a lot of improvement possible. Reaction time was around .4

Best time in the past was before SS headers, Cats, and Xpipe and got a 11.89. I was running on 18s with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

The car is definitely faster now just need to figure how to get traction. Gonna wait for the new MT drag radials in 265/40/18. Just got a response that they will be out mid to late January.

Yeah all day, had three passes I had to let off, one one I slid out pretty far sideways on the 1-2 shift. It can be pretty scary running on street tires!

Thumbs up

Next time you guys make the trip make sure that in the agreement it states the track will be glued down till the 1000' mark. In the past when i been to different rentals they allways glue the track down especialy after a RAIN storm.

great looking cars guys

You guys are throwing down some sick times given the bad traction you all said you were having.

Anyone see any single digit cars that day? Rumor has it one of our guys was running 9 second quarter miles in a V6 Thunderbird SC. We're having a hard time swallowing that since he is notoriously forgetting to take cameras etc.

Johnny, I know Shawn would benefit from cooling mod and TB, but I think he doesn't want to spend the money right now. I'd give him another 6 months or so, then I'm sure he'll start modding again

But I still think his car is capable of at least 11.5 @ 121 mph. At Fontana, when it was 86 degrees, 3000 DA, ash and dust falling all over the place, he managed 4 runs at 11.7x @ 118.5x. So I'm sure he could've done 11.5 @ 121 if track prep was good

Sacramento's nice weather advantage is useless without decent track prep

Money issue is very understandable. He just spent big money for those headers and gain what? Not much if any. That makes me think he needs the ECU redone and the 80mm TB.Something is not right with his car,he should be out trapping my car,and he should have also trapped higher at Sac.Either he is having major heat issues with the IC,or its the other problems I listed.A data logger would tell the story.

His 1/8th mph and et would help alot also,to see what the car was doing.

He says the car definately feels stronger after headers. I think he gained some power from the headers actually. Before headers, on 9/21 (87 degrees, 2200 DA) he only scored 11.9 @ 117. After headers, on 10/26 (86 degrees, 3000 DA) he managed 11.7 @ 118.5x. That is a little improvement, but still an improvement I think

The way his car looked and sounded on the track, I am positive he could've had an 11.5 run, but track was so sh**ty. There was over an inch layer of rubber and dirt and mist on the staging lanes. It was very hard to gain traction that day

Shawn ran:
11.85 or .89 at 117.xx on 9/21
Added EVOsport headers and then ran 11.76 at 118.xx on 10/26

I ran:
11.79 at 118.85 on 9/21
11.80 at 118.xx on 10/26

His car is not performing to what it could.

Hi Jack,

You were right that you had a beast since your car was a poster child, correct.?

Juicee, nice video. That was my 1st run of the day. I need to work on my launches. Is it possible to hit a 1.7 on street tires?

haters crazy
Looks like alot of fun! I cant believe they didnt spray VHT for you guys. Lasttime at MIR it had rained the previous night/morning and they charged me extra for VHT and drying off the track but usually VHT is included in the price of the rental

Anyone know what the HPF turbo M3 was running and what turbo setup/times the Audi was running? Thanks

I remember the M3 but I do not know what it ran. I do remember hearing the turbo as it flew down the track.

As for the Audi, check with Adam or Tony I believe they have a great picture of it!

Hey Rocket, I managed to only hit 1.9 twice on street tires. Urfantasy hit 1.8 on street tires.

Urfantasy had extra weight due to his system. hmmmmmm that may be the key to a great 60'.

Ya weight could of helped or maybe he hit the gas just perfect! I know on my 1.9 I could of gave it a bit more gas. but then again when I tred to give it more gas in other runs ESP turned on and wrecked my run.

There are plenty of vids of the blue audi here:
centralvalleyspeed.com

The audi guy is the forum moderator/owner. Going for 130traps, he broke a diff.

Maybe the weight in the trunk is important, mine is empty and I never did better than 2.03 and that was on an R comp tire....I usually do 1.8X-1.9X..

I never really felt good launching. I am certain off idle is best for my car and a smooth roll out. Next time I will leave 100 lbs in the trunk and then remove it to see if it matters at all...

Great to see guys trying to go faster, quicker and willing to try new things. had you pulled the 1.85 I think your an 11.99@118 car, it is really critical to get out w/o spinning. Your car is making great hp, so you have a good chance at competing with the worlds greatest E55 driver E N Z O M !
