Thanks.. I must say I was very much in love with my car as I am sure every board member is with their car. However, once I left the dealership and drove down the highway in my P-car those memories were far behind me. Dipping in and out of traffic, downshifting and passing cars, etc. It is just a different experience. My E55 was great...no it was awesome, however I see big potential for this P-car. The only thing I have been second guessing is whether I should have gotten a GT2 instead. I think going from the E55 to the GT2 woulld have been too much of a change for me. Interesting enough, the 996 turbo is actually more comfortable than I thought it would have been.

Keep in mind you are looking at the 996 turbo in its stock form. My E55 had a lot of cosmetic mods. More than I would care to remember because I took a HUGE bath.. Anyways, give me 4-6 weeks and then I will post up some picks and mods and then we can decide which looks better. Its way too early to compare the 2 cars.

And btw, I went to chevy the other day and they had a black Z06 sitting on the floor. I instantly fell in love. So many options...
Congrats my friend, can't wait to see it once the weather warms up. Theres a Porsche Turbo crew at Edgewater, one guy has a 996 GT2 with a protomotive 700 package. My other friend, Alan, has a 996TT with the proto 600 package...amazing cars, completely badass.
And btw, I went to chevy the other day and they had a black Z06 sitting on the floor. I instantly fell in love. So many options...

Well frank after many debates, I am very happy you got the P-car...Just don't cry when I walk you in my 65..., Just kidding that will only happen in my dreams. Knowing you, I believe you might have already ordered the Evo 800 package or something of that sort. You will stay on top of the food chain for a very long time my friend. We will see how things turn out. You never know..
Congrats and Please stay on the AMG board, don't leave the brothas!!!, lol!

Congrats Frank!!! When we were talking on the phone, I knew you would sway towards the P-car..

congrats, very low mileage..if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for this 996turbo, and how much does gt2s go for nowadays.. ill be one of the next ones to get rid of my e55.. and thought i just cant go wrong with a p-car

I've been out of country for about a month now..(in Korea)
When i get back, looks like we will have NY/NJ P-Car Crew~lol (might go little more exotic..not sure as of right now..)
keep in mind that once u pass 650 kit on tt, it requires lot of internal work
and EVOMS..i heard it's hard to make it run perfect all the time...(requires lotta tweaks)

My friend's Proto 600 kit scares the crap out of me...so, i would do that kit first to see how it feels....lol
