Build the engine with lower c/r, get a custom twin GT40R or GT35R setup, stand alone engine management, built trans, reinforced axles, driveshaft and maybe even diffs, and pour some race gas in it and you're done. Its not magic, it just costs $$$

Now do all of that, leave out the race gas and use pump gas, add emissions, add "don't chop up my car", and I want it to be a daily driver, so I need reilability, and you have my request to Vadim.

Yeah...and it will take lots of time to test and R&Ds...sounds scary to me...

Do you know if anyone supply reinforce axles or diff for this cars ???

I think it might go VRP 700 route 1st...proven set up but I think diffs and axels wont last long anyways with that power llevel if I race in 1/4...

Leaving out race gas is easy, you just turn down the boost. You could even throw in meth injection if you wanted. I hope you dont think you wil be making 1000whp on pump gas and daily drive the thing. I never said anything about chopping up the car. I dont know how emissions works out there so I cant comment on that.

E55 RUSS- Of course it takes time, VRUS has been working on it for a while now. Stuff like this doesnt happen overnight, except on fast and furious!

There are several places that reinforce axles and driveshafts. Driveshaftshop being one of them. You would be surprised how much a stock diff can handle.

Why not?
It's not like he will be running 30 lbs of boost. Not only will it use pumped gas, but New2this will be able to drive it any time he wishes because of the way it will be built.

I understand that the K24's would be limited for the power goal this gentleman is trying to achieve. I meant for everyone else though modded k24's could provide a substantial benefit in the top end requiring no extensive fabrication and fitting perfectly in the stock location. Would be a very OEM like solution for those with more modest power goals.

I am planning on picking up a 600 soon and since VRP is close to me I would love to have a chat with Vadim about the possibility of modded k24's in the future.

I agree not sure why we dont have more options to get to the 700hp-800hp range like the porsches do. Being we have a 6.0 and v12 we should get a 800hp 65 with minor turbo work?

Question Good point there

Good point there BiTurboAmg...... why is it that it seems like the Porshe Tuners have such an easier time extracting big power out of their little 6-cylinder twin turbo engines but the big Benz Engines take so much more time and money to come up with this kind of stuff?

Maybe the next generation of AMG twin-turbo engines will be able to solve alot of issues....

I've always wondered that about the K24 turbos as well. Why not just do a hybrid K24 like a K24/18 or something? Porsche guys see a 200+hp gain with all the supporting mods when they go this route (protomotive 700 package and such). I wouldn't be suprised if a K24/18 powered 65 makes 850 crank hp.

A K24/18g is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Not to mention this is not an expensive upgrade and tried and true in Porsche circles. I am just curious as to the software tuning (who would do it), this would be the only obstacle. There are several tuners out there who just need the stock k24's and they will modify them for under 2k. Talk about a cost effective upgrade, more powerful turbos for less than the price of renntech software and they fit in the stock location.

Edit: How much power are the stock 600/65 injectors rated for anyway? Does anyone know? A guy brought the stock fuel system limits up earlier and was dumped on for daring to question VRP.

Gentlemen, please read through the thread completely. I have already answered the questions with regard to why, when and how.

Here is the latest update:

After several versions, we have finally settled on this one. The room is a bit tight, but should work. I will post further pixs later this week. The plan is to have turbos plumbed by the end of this week.

Stay Tuned!

I don't think anyone was questioning your choice for this particular project I think we were bringing up other tuning options that should be considered for the twin turbo V12's.

WOW!! It looks like a perfect fit. I think the turbos were ment to go there.
Can't wait to see if this setup will work on my SL.

Great work Vadim!

Thank you Gentlemen!

I just picked up a 2003 S600, so I will be creating Power Stages for all V12 TT motors.

I will keep you guys updated.

Good luck on that endeavor.

Do you think that concentrating on a few projects and getting them done would be a better idea than taking on many projects? Just a thought. Still waiting on that 55 turbo project from a long time ago.
