Not the same! I have some HREs and my painter wanted to do the same paint the lips gloss and the face flat with a red pinstripe to match my brembos! thats why I wanted to see your paint. I think im gonna go all gloss with red pinstripe. (tryin to be different than the normal flat black) these are just tester rims untill another set I have ordered comes in.

Are you guys powdercoating or painting? If painting, are you getting clear coat, too?
My powdercoated rims turned out really well, but they already have some very small nicks in them from the Targa run. Friggin rocks!!

Do you get chipping at all? Could you check and see what the procedure is for me? I finally got the wheels I like and I want to re-do the color on both sets. I HATE the polished lips on these HREs. HATE!!

Yup, I'm hoping to take my car to HMS after VRP for some cosmetic stuff (paint calipers, fins, etc.) The chipping is a pain. I have a matching sharpie, so I can cover it but i know they won't last my abusive driving for long.

I'd assume yours are powdercoated centers. That is what HRE has gone to as well. The don't CC the poliched lips, though and they are monsters to keep clean (not that I have ever done it). I just don't like the look. Even if they were chrome, i still wouldn't like em. i'm really thinking to have the entire lips painted red.

Dude, where have you been? you seem to be a gear head and have an E55 with some uniqueness to it. Heck, half your posts are just us two going back and forth. you should have been here before. We cool now? I really am sorry. No excuses, just stupid.
Yeah, I'm gonna ask shake to photoshop em for me and see. I figure I hate the polished and chrome look, so i have to go with something. I just want to do it right, since all the wheel break down and build up will be costly at HRE.

Here you go guys. Let me know what you think good or bad. The wheels do look much better in person. I really want to hear comments about the paint job I did.
Anyway, if you guys are local and want to see the wheels in person or even throw one on your car to see what it looks like let me know. Blacked out wheels are a gamble but i really like the way they turned out.
