E55K Engine in a W208 CLK?
Maybe I should rephrase my question, is it possible without spending tons of $$$? I'm assuming I would need the TCU as well. I want to do it really badly, just scared of dropping $$$ for all the E55 stuff and then not have it work. Theoretically it is the same block so it should fit right?

Edit: Finny, could you please elaborate?

Really sucks too. My dream is the TTS600 12 in our cars with ECU/TCU mod.
Could run mid 10's all day long.
Sigh......
Pretty much said not much more to do other than swapping to a E55K motor.
My guess is Oliver has done this work before and I'm sure some of the other reputable mod shops have as well.
I think the bigger question is how to get the power to the ground ...
Btw hes talking pre 2006 so the ecu/tcu/etc should be a lot easier to get working together.

I have a client locally who also wants to do it, but I have not taken a deep look into all of the logistics of making it happen.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
To put that Kompressor motor in your clk430 will be alot of work and expensive including the price of the motor and transmission.
best of luck!
and lets not forget SLR engin has been put in a SLK/G/E class and brabus has placed a V12 in a C/E class so its possible... its the know how thats the problem
I would not go Kleemann. I have driven several Kleemann converted cars and none of them have the explosive power of the factory blown AMG motors, especially on the low end.
My opinions are based on driving an '02 CLK430K or 500K, an '03 E500K, and a 2002 E55K. The E55K was supposed to have big power and an '03 E55 would clobber it. The blown CLK got clobbered by my C32 and SLK32 despite the fact that it was producing far more claimed power.
GO for the swap!

He already has a Kleeman CLK so no point "Kleemanizing" the CLK430.
Bro, that would be one quickkkkk car. I hope you can find a shop to do if for you for a reasonable price. Good luck.

after a while he will want to mod the motor...when a 600TT motor with just ECU will be more then u would ever want
(mind u it will cost more!)
SLK55R and Vadim- Do you have contact info for thos epeople? Thanks.
There is no point in Kleemannizing the CLK430, I already have a Kleemann CLK55 with mods. I want to build something faster. If its a lot of work I'm just not going to do it. I will just continue to modify the Kleemann CLK55.I wish the V12TT would fit in my CLK, I just dont think there is enough room. No tto mention the cost of such a project would be enormous. If I dont go through with the 55k swap, is anyone looking for engine/trans/ecu out of a 03 E55 with 60k miles?

Remember the Regal GNX 3.8L V6 T intercooled turbo. key here is 3.8L V6 T when modded right has run low 11's high 10's. With the upgraded GM 4.3L V6 even better
Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks I wont turbo the 430 motor. If anything I would sell the kleemann stuff off the 55 and turbo that. Might as well go all out.
