HAHA!!! You damn right you do. My MBTech (friend) came by while I was there yesterday and about dropped his jaws. He hates the routine at the dealership and loved all the inovative stuff going on in the place.

Vadim, does the 63 have any load-limiter on them? I was thinking they might not because they don't have that excessive torque of the 55s, but I was just wondering if they did?
Also, what's the next step for the 63 Power Packages?

Yes and no. It is a different kind of mapping since 63s are MAF based vs. 55 that are MAP based.
Nevertheless, we are working on them as we speak. Headers are next. We are getting a CLK63 as a project car for a number of updates as well as forced induction.
I will post details this week.

Hey Vadim,
I am really interested in this setup you have. Do you know any good shops in the Wash DC area that can perform this install? i have an e63 and have already done exhaust and chip tuning. Removed charoal filters. I am happy with my performance, but hate when the engine gets hot and can notice performance lagg from the hot engine temp. I think your kit will help in this regards.
With these mods will I have to get a retuning to my chip? or should I be able to install this without any additional work?
Your feedback is appreciated!

I was really happy with the service at Funktion Auto near Dulles:

Nice shop and I was able to go over the install plan and work with the tech quite a bit when I had my Johnson CM30 pump done.

Was there ever an explanation for the huge drop off on the dyno sheet after installing the air filters?
Hope this makes sense.

Vadin: Where is the IAT sensor located at...I was looking at the firewall...damn with so many things there,,,I really don't know where its at.
Plus...are you working on /or do you have suggestions on getting a better breathing air tube instead of the small one we have on the "63" engines.
I guess with NA...its all about getting the air in and out!
Thanks for your help
Walt

Walt, AIT sensor is on the driver side, right below rubber intake elbow.
In all honesty, stock air intake tubes are more than enough. Once I test new CF airboxes, than We will hat other restrictions exist.

Again..thanks for the professional comments..........I really thought that looking at the tubes that they just don't look like that they would flow that much air......I believe you when you say that they are sufficient.....I have no proof otherwise, plus not the experience that you have. Just old school thinking on my part.... Do you think wrapping the tubes would do much for a cooler air flow, or would it not make that much of a difference..?
