crank pulley torque specs?
#51
With the new Renntech pulley, the holes do not go through and the pulley tool can't be used. I used a longer 13mm bolt to lock the torque converter per Renntech instructions. I hope I didn't twist my crank.![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Haha!! i did all my own work on my jeeps as well. I even raced my M3 for a season and helped turn some wrenches but I rarely mess with anything related to the engine on this thing. I mess around with suspension stuff but that is about it. I didn't even install my VRP Airbox. It was in the car when I took it in and VRP installed it for me. I've had that thing for a good year now!!

Theortically you're correct. A 200kg (440lb) man standing on a 6ft(1,83m) bar generates 400Nm of torque. Our engines deliver 700Nm. I wouldn't whack the bar with a mallet, however!

Thanks for the numbers to help make sense of my babble. At this point, i think everyone is on the same page, so let's just let it go and get back to really helping eachother. I'm not an engine man and never claimed to be. I learn a LOAD from all the gearheads on this board.
