Fogo is an American version of something called a Churrascaria (pronounced Shu-hosk-a-dea). When I was in Brazil this past Summer, I ate at plenty of these types of restaurants and they are fantastic down there. I've been to Fogo, in Baltimore, and found it to be a very good representation. Not exactly, but close. The Brazilian version has a few types of meat that you don't get here...like chicken hearts and things of that nature.
Anyway, when I went to the one in Baltimore, I went with a Brazilian family that was visiting from Barra, Rio De Janeiro. They actually loved it. I give it a a big
Also try a very traditional Brazilian cocktail called a caipirinha. It's very much a cross between a Margarita and Mojito. It's made with a liquor called Cachaça. That stuff will make you do stupid sh*t. Ask me how I know.

We have Fogo here as well as a number of other Churrascarias, and while the meat is great I don't think it's the best meat around. Fogo has some nice unique cuts but for good ol' steak there are MANY steakhouses that will deliver a better prime cut of beef any day of the week.
Fogo is fantastic for what it is, I enjoy it a lot.

Same concept but I preferred it over Fogo or Tejas de Brazil.

I love these places.
I have been to one in Sao Paulo and Porto Allegre, Brazil.
I have never tried on in the US and unfortunately there is not one in the SF south bay.
