How much can i sell 08 E63
Im not planing on selling the car but the dealer offered $67k for an 08 e63 with 9k miles. He said that MB is giving this car away for 1k lease a month. Why would MB do this to there customers.![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
How much would i be able to get for it. MSRP was $94k

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you know your car drop 15k once you drived it off the lot. I got 12k off my car when i bought it. The best thing to do is to hold the car for a while if you can and then try to sell it to a private party,
Most cars private party are selling in the mid 70K range with your mileage

Dealers always offer the lowest of the lowest prices for trade-ins. They sometimes take into account that you will also negotiate to raise the price.
I think you should be able to trade in your car for $72k. I just looked up the prices for 07 E63 with 8,000 to 10,000 miles, and dealers are selling them for $82k to $84k. Which means, private party price should be between $74k to $76k.
I know yours is a 2008 and has slightly less mileage, but I think it'll fall somewhere close in between these figures.

yeah i think it's a supply and demand thing. i'm in so cal and when i went looking to lease the E63, there were over 100-150 out there in a 120mi radius. it may be gas prices, it may be that dealers ordered too many, who knows? there's just too many out there. i felt like there were more E63's than E550's on the lots.
the cap cost on ours (MSRP $95,090) was $84,2xx brand new, so the dealers are really trying to get rid of them right now...

Actually, the percentage is a little bit lower but still as bad. He said MSRP on the car was $94k.
MSRP = $94k
After 1 year depreciation = $67,900 ~ 27%
I'm hoping he got at least $4k off which help the numbers a little bit.
Price = $90k
After 1 year depreciation = $68k ~ 24%
Unfortunately, most of the Mercedes, BMW, etc..... depreciate very fast. Just remember that this can work in the our (the buyers) advantage as well. It is best to buy 1 year used. So then we know the dealer probably paid the person who traded-in the car $68k, which means we can get the car for about $70k to $72k or even less. Paying $70k for a car that was worth $94k a few month prior is priceless

I will usually inspect the car very therally, check the history records and CarFax reports, run a VMI, and I'll even sometimes take my friend (who is a paint specialist) with me to evaluate the car just to make sure I didn't miss anything. But again, most of the time a car with 2,000 miles or 6,000 miles is pretty much like new.

That's a hard pill to swallow on the rapid depreciation of the E63. I don't remember the W211 E55's falling that quickly after they introduced it. In fact I remember people paying a small premium for the car when it first came out. But when MB discounts the E63 so much, it dilutes the resale value of the car that much quicker.
Is it a supply and demand relationship?

If you do have to take the hit, let the dealer know you are going to do a pass through and still collect the tax credit and I'll fly in and buy it.

That's a good point and I struggle with it a lot sometimes. But from my personal experience, most of the cars that I've seen that had between 1,000 to 10,000 miles on them have been in great condition. Not only E63, but C, CLS, S, etc.....

A car, a year old with <10000 miles is always going to be my target. I just can't justify the loss especially on the high end cars such as these. I bought my 05 with 9k for $24k under MSRP. It was 10 months old. However, I have taken that saved money and blown it on mods.

The economy sucks and we are heading towards a recession if not in one now, to expect real estate or high-end AMG merc. to hold any big value the first year is just a fantasy. Drive the freaking car and you'll get similiar money out of it in a few years with alot less depreciation.

I had a M6 conv. down here for a while, I hated it. It needed SMG shifting love way too much and would now allow me phone time to make money.
If you guys want to make some real money down here in commercial real estate I do it for living and make everyone I deal with a fortune doing business. The market in SW FL for commercial is a freaking goldmine and I have a many pocket listings of properties you can sit on for a few years and earn 20% without killng yourself outside of your own business. PM me anytime and come down for a drive in a bomb climate for love.
78 degree average temp here.
