Results from the Dyno Shop in San Diego

So, My stock E55 was strapped to the dyno this morning for its dyno runs before mods. I was pretty surprised with the results! My car is totally stock aside from the cosmetic mods. My car pulled out 419 hp and 440 FT-LBS at 6500 RPM. Is this good? Is it typical for an E55 to have better stats?

Looks pretty normal.

A couple of questions - Are these numbers SAE corrected? Was this on a dynojet (as opposed to a dyno dynamics or mustang dyno)? Was it measured in 3rd or 4th gear? Finally - Did you mean to say that the hp peak was measured at 6,500 rpm?

I know its not a dynojet or mustang dyno. I am guessing its a dyno dynamics dyno. Maybe someone from SD that has used this shop can answer this question. I don't know if it is SAE certified or not. I was told that this is the most legit Dyno shop to use in San Diego.

Which shop did you go to? If it is the one in Santee, then yes we have been. I thought we hit up a dynojet, but maybe not.

Post the curves, if you would. the numbers sound healthy and strong. That is about what mine was as well.

When is the car off for the tuning and when you getting it back? what all is getting done?

The picture of a Dynojet system looks a bit different so i was assuming it was not that.

I plan on posting everything once i got all the official results.

Mods to come:
OEM 80MM TBD
LETmotorsports headers
EVOtech software
VRUS Pulley

Your car is definately healthy and putting down some good numbers.........

And after the mods, that beast will become un-controllable

VRUS Pulley + EvoTech Software is an awsome combination. It's like combining the best of both worlds

I can't wait to see the post-mod dynos

How so? I've researched the EVOTech tune. You do know that they were the RennTech tuner, right? The only that has changed is Adam. I think they have plenty of potential, but I just don't see them putting in the time that VRP and Powerchip have on my car. Adam and I are already planning a run-off to see which is better. We want to be fair and let both tuners get the cars the way they like them.
I do have a question about the guys that are going with EVOtech tune and NOT EVOTech pulley. Why?

Jangy,

You were right. The system they used on my car was a Dyno Jet...

Yeah, that place is cool. Only issue is that the weather changes with the seasons. We were looking into a place in Carlsbad, but dunno what ever came of it.

Evotech pulley costs more jangy. Many of the forumers here have ASP pulley with Evotech software too.

Is it really just cost? That is sad. I also paid more for my VRP pulley than I would have for an ASP one, but the customer care that comes with it alone is worth it. I'd assume getting an EVOTech from you would be the same.
Anyhoo. Just curious, since all of them are roughly the same size.

I have the stats from my stock pull but nothing with the mods as of yet.

My code 3 performance cooling upgrade and Johnson pump will be going in on Monday. I plan on having the rest of the mods installed the following week. I am really curious to see what the car pulls on the dyno after that.
