Quote: Hey Larry, I can live without the keyless go but there has been a few times where I went to open the door and realized I needed to hit the key fob

As for turbo lag, its not that bad actually- the new variable geometry turbos have some good progress there and once I put some miles on and chip it, I am sure it will only get better.

As for comparos, the 65 was modded and in a straight line the 65 is faster via seat of the pants but stop light to stop light this tip is superb.

Of course handling is a no brainer and once I add on the chip, GMG cars are running circa 590 hp at the crank with the mods that I will have. It should make for a very quick but not over the top 997TT.
590hp in a 3200 lbs all wheel drive car! To me this is Nirvana. Great choice. By the way, thanks for all your advice on the CL65. I'm still loving my car.

I am glad you are, I loved mine too but the detachment outweighed the power. I actually am really enjoying my M6 too!!

Oh I wish the 997TT weighed 3200 but its actually 3600 lbs in tip format.

Okay Vic, I lied.......... I actually know who you are because of all the times I've had to pm you to get important questions answered.

What a gorgeous car (congrats!!!) but are you afraid to take it out for any occasion? It looks to be more of a show piece than a daily driver. It has that exotic "Lambo/Ferrari look."

I apologize for not honoring my pledge of showing you the respect you deserve on all future post.

Rock, Id rather you be who you really are than someone with ethics, morals, and respect. And this by no means that I will stop helping you. I do so because I am a giver and feel for the needy.

I wont drive it daily, I have the M6 and a Lexus, but I wont be afraid to put miles on it either. I guess thats why I wont or cant consider an F car... or because its too much money

Vic,

congrats on the new P car, You've done a great job in setting it apart from the other 997's in the short amount of time you've had it! Those P40's look amazing!

I don't know if that car will every see a drop of rain, but if it does, you'll love how the quattro reacts allowing you to drive circles around everyone on the road.

Thanks James and all the rest of you. I am truly glad I got that red- after seeing all the blacks, silvers, and whites (white is pimp), I very happy on how it all turned out. I have a few more aesthetics to do like black lugs, and a black Turbo badge and once thats done the engine mods will come with time.

Oh James, remember I had a 996TT, and I love driving turbos in the rain its the most fun one can have. While all the Cali drivers are slowing down cause they dont know how to drive or handle rain, I speed up

Sick.....

But why tip? Even though some mags claim tip is faster, wouldn't it take some of the fun away? Plus, your M6 must be SMG and your lexus must be auto... so why another "auto"?

Because I wanted a red turbo and I am lazy and tired of rowing --- honestly the SMG is as involving as stick IMO but better (again my opinion) and I would never drive the M6 in D mode unless there was a ton of traffic on the road. So in my eyes I was ok with tip on this car plus as you stated the performance numbers are not weak. If the tip killed the trap speed at the quarter or the 0-60 then my decision might have changed.

I also couldnt pass up the price I worked or the items on the interior- it was an order cancel.
