Has anybody ever done a mesh rear apron on an E55 as per the SL55 look. I think it would look really good on a E55 while keeping with the whole AMG theme. I think the car needs an alternative to the plane looking stock item.
Been done already? Surely someone has thought of this before?

Thought about it, yes. Created an airfoil and a mesh insert, no. I had a friend that could do that easily and make it look factory but he passed away last year so it's not happening for me.

Sorry you lost your mate. Wish I had the tools to DIY. Be interested to see if AMG do a E63 Black Series with a updated rear apron cos the current crop of aftermarket diffusers dont look that crash hot.
