They do trap pretty nicely...but I still look at cars like Jason's CL600 which hits the 1/4 under 11 with DR's and some minor mods and tuning. I've looked on 6speed and it seems like it takes a lot of power to dip below 11 with a 996TT (and I would keep it AWD and never dream of gutting it or anything). But traps are the key and they do trap very nicely......I'm just worried about having it as a daily driver. If I could have a project car, it'd be that hands down...but as a DD I don't think I could do it. It's still in my top fav list of cars and I may own one in the near future as a boost monster.

She's getting long in the tooth @50k miles. Cutting into her now wouldn't be worth it, but maybe it would. It's still up in the air for me. I really have my eyes set on a white on red M6, it would be an awesome companion car for what Sunny has in store.

Let's just say it's different, and its friggin BEAUTIFUL,

I used to question why the P-cars don't post lower times as well. I think most of these drivers are concerned about transmission and clutch issues if they launch too hard. Second, bigger turbos have lag. Third, P-cars aren't that fast in 1st or 2nd, however 3rd gear pulls pretty hard.

IMHO, most street races are from a roll. As much as I would like to run from a complete stop in my Benz, it was hard to do on most roads.
No question at all that my E55 was pretty quick from a dig. Remember my video of me racing a Lingenfelter Z06. I actually pulled on it by a 1/8 to a 1/4 of a car length at one point. However up stairs it was no contest.

Our set-up in a 3000lbs car would be pretty hard to beat imho.

Rflow.. How have you been bro? I need to make a trip down to MIA.
Yes, it would be nice to have an E55 set-up in a 3000lbs car.
I wonder if any has gutted an e55 yet.. Remove all sound insulation, air bags, back seats, passenger seat, etc, etc..

We will see about that when I am done with the 65, the M6 will be lucky if it sees my quads...

The 65 is Evotech's...I wonder why adam hasn't chimed in...I think they were the ones to put the tune.

Found the thread last night. It seems the owner is satisfied but doesn't seem that way from the camera...

2004 S55 AMG
Something is wrong with the 65. Don't get me wrong 65 amgs aren't gods but I remember a post some time back with one of Gustav's videos where a sock S65amg ran neck and neck with a modded M5. Cant find the video right now but I will keep looking. Now a modded CL which is the same as a S with 50 to 60 more rwhp and rwtq should romp on a M6. But then again anything can happen on the streets, hell an AWD minivan pulled a car lenght on me from a light. Loss traction.

Nothing new for ME...expected results...We have raced many times mod M5/M6 vs Evotech S65 and all the M5/M6 WIN !!!

I raced stock S65 when I just had Headers and ASP pulleys (bad belt), pig rich ECU and he was stock and S65 passed ME after 170-180...by that time IAT where probably very very high...

Are AMG's in the USA faster than AMG's in Europe or something? Would be nice to race some Euro M's vs US AMG's just to see why there is such a difference.

I dont think so...It just we race on the streets or on the highway (regular road not track with VHT or how its called) from a dig or rolling start and I think its easier to launch M5/M6 then torgue monster like S65...

Mod M5/M6 are very fast at high speeds !!! Faster the stock ZO6 !!!

I don't know man, seems like our American AMG's are faster than your European AMG's. That goes for our US Z06's vs the ones that get exported over there to you guys as well.

Gustav's video show a stck Z06 giving a thorough *** whippin to that Kellners M5,M6 and stck M5 in the first set of videos he posted.

The last video where this same guy modded the yellow Z06 and raced Russramz Kellners M6 with cams, you see the M6 gave that Z06 a run for the $$.

Too bad we were'nt able to send some of our Topdawg's(Stephen,Albert,Sleeper X,Chiromikey ) over there to Sweden for those runs to show you and others what some well tuned AMG's can do.

I've only seen Gustav show us modded M's against stck 65's and one dead *** **** -can Kleeman E55 modded by Kleeman.
I've seen SleeperX slay too many modded M's and other Euro cars here in the US to date. Just pure carnage. Any other losses I saw him suffer was due to the motor taking a hike.

Why are the AMG's in your country getting slain by the "M"s like they do? Don't generalize all AMG's because here in the U.S. they run!!!!

You must be joking...About Euro car slower/faster then US ones

I am talking about races to TOP END...170-180+mph....Mod M6 runned 336rm here on dream meter (200mph+)...at that speed the gap betw 5 speed S65 is HUGE !!! Power and Torgues is NOT everything !!!

Gustav races till 155...Stock Z06 up front on M5/M6 till this speed, after 165 M6 starts pulling about...Z06 is not TOP End runner is has tall and 5 and 6 gear...so its not that faast after 150 where us M5/M6 start to shine there due to 7 speed SMG...

I never said that mod or stock M5 beat ME to 170 !!!...

I was talking about S65...on the other side of course Mod E55 would be faster then stock M5...but M6 mod 580 HP passed ME at 145 whenI only had pulleys and header and rich ECU file...
