!!! New E63 1/4 Mile West Coast Record !!!!

I was very happy with my first run, but after my second pass, I realize it was nothing. On my first run, I ran a 12.387 @ 114.7 with a 1.91 60' time. Then on my second run, my car behaved very differently. The car shifted very aggressively (very rough engagement) from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and felt like it was pulling very hard. At first I thought I broke something since I was trying to launch more aggressively, but after seeing the timeslip all that was forgotten

Here are the results until I scan the slip later when I get home:
60' ---> 1.898
1/8th ---> 7.930
MPH ---> 90.93
1/4 Mile ---> 12.246 @ 115.64
This is a big improvement over my previous best at Fontana a couple of weeks ago of 12.35 @ 113.6 (piloted by Shawn). However, this run was done at 13 degrees cooler and at half the track elevation. I guess weather does help a lot Juicee......

Anyways, the west coast fastest E63 is now almost 0.1 seconds away from the east coast's fastest E63 and closing......

By the way, I floored the car a couple of times on the street after that incident and the transmission shifted smoothly again as if nothing happened. Did I do something bad to the transmission
Or was this just an ECU freak adaptation? And how can I get that aggressive shifting again

Wow. it must be cold out!
Amazing run, I think your car was picking up just fine, I love the splits they are the fastest I have seen this side of the Mason Dixon.
Well now what???
12.09@116 is what I had figured max for your car stock..

dam near hit it, great run see you soon..

DA was reported between 150 to 200 ft, which for us here is probably the best we can get and my car was reading temp to be 55 F. If my time is corrected to -1200 ft (aka Atco), then my 12.2 drops to 12.0 @ 117 mph

So we're definately very close to breaking into the 11s

I do not think many people realize how difficult squeezing off a 12.2 in a 4200 lb car is on street tires!!! I just came back form getting my A** kicked all part of the lesson..
Great run man I still am shaking my head, your 12.34 pass was incredible, this is truly a big jump and its going to be a great challenge to go sub 12 but it looks like somebody that is a member here is going to do it.. I see Venom and Gixxer are attending the March meet @ Atco, very very exciting
You also have huge potential for the sub 12 pass as your car ran incredibly on a very crappy track. Wish you would head back to sac and attempt to improve on your IMO West coasts fastest (stock)55. We gotta push Enzom to keep his car and continue to lower the bar!!!or is this raising the bar?
Man two 63's on page one now!!!! A W E S O M E run MO

I've launched my car so many times at so many tracks but was only able to break the 1.8 once. Even if you take Juicee's best 60' time of 1.69, you'll see that out of thousands and thousands of times, he was only able to do that once.
We need to somehow figure out a systematic technique to improve the 63 (all models) 60' time
I spoke with a national champion Viper driver today..He has some great ideas . He was very cool. First thing he confirmed was the wasted HP lifting the front and setting her down. He said definately run the car raised. The reason the drag radial and street tires are similar is because they are similar!!
We measured the softness of rubber my tire was harder than a stret tire, he was suprised I hooked ever.. A ps2 is softer than the conti and my cup, the way to 60 better is to prevent wasted movement in the chasis and tires. The street set up likely can produce 1.70's but it will require better weight trans and jerking the car out vs lifting out. Mr. Larson pointed out a jerk is much quicker than a lift, the car will have no where to go but out vs up if raised. A 15" rim with a true slick and a driveshaft loop would perhaps allow 1.50's but it would slow the trap.
We did some calculations after my dyno.
My best run attainable in my car with my gearing is 11.85....He thinks I can bust off low 1.60's with a soft tire and raised up. so a drag radial has very similar properties as the PS2.
Are you guys running drag radials???
What do you expect from master PO..This guy is the BEST, he has created a West Coast Monster however.......................................when you guys coming to LA????Dam I love it , I absolutely Love the fact that Gixxer has some real comp. The fact any Benz all motor can run mid 11's high 10's and 60 ft under 1.70's is UNREAL.
The nine second Viper was running the same 60fts as Jay...LOL...Thats ridiculous, he has a true slick and just a littlemore HP and a light r car.
Feb 24th we are goingto hit 11 seconds in the 63,
looks like we need a JW Launch DVD
