I have been a member here for awhile although I do not post much. I need some help if I may ask. What MB is the quickest (stock) in acceleration (1/4) in a 4 door model ? The reason I am asking is this; I put on Car Shows and Drag Racing Events and would like to invite ONE to come out to our Event to show our marque what a 4 door MB can do. This Event will be held in Columbus, Ohio on June 14 & 15, 2008. So if you are interested & close please let me know.

I would say S65 or E55. Everything else is pretty damn slow in the 4 door department.

 

So is there anyone that would like to bring their 4-door MB to this Event ?

All 4 door models in AMG form are very fast in the 1/4 mile , just need a car close to you . A modded E 55 is likely gonna put on the best show but most shocking would be the 5100lb S65.

Any 4 door AMG car is gonna impress. ML 63 is funny , or G55 SUV's in the high 12's

 

I'd love to see an S65 represent!!

 

Definitely S65, it will run 11's all day long stock.

 

If it has been tuned you are looking at 10's.

Imagine getting 7 passes in front of 2,000 spectators and 350 other participants plus a National Car Magazine.

So all I need now is for someone to say that they will come.

No S65 has ever gone into the 10's. It is not likely unless conditions are absolutely perfect. Modded 55 has the best shot at 10's likely needing NOS.

 

There has to ONE of you that want to strut your ride in front of our Participants and Spectators !!!!!

Trust me you will the time of your life, talking to our group, showing off your car.

Just to let you know so far the quickest LX is at 11.22 @ 122 mph.
But the quickest car coming will be a 4-cylinder 1983 Shelby Charger and it is a Front Wheel Drive. Last year this Street Car ran 10.066 @ 139.76

Once I get my 4 door AMG--MB committed I will be after a 4 door BMW.

Chuck, I'm interested but I see 150+ cars at the event which is great but how do you figure seven runs with that many cars?

Also, unless we run with juice, an E55 will not likely see an et of 11.2. On the other hand a trap of 122mph is not a problem.

 

We have the track for two days, Saturday and Sunday 6-14 & 15, 2008

I really want to get at least 1 MB AMG 4 door at this Event as there are many admirers on the Charger Forums. Numerous times I see people with the SRT-8 vehicles asking how they would fair up against a AMG or an M5 so that is one of my reasons on posting here.

If you guys ever hold an Event somewhere close to me I would be more than glad to come out and either watch or participate.

Hope to get someone confirmed before the end of Feb.

Maybe you should FLY out and root on ROCK.

This will be a *fun* meet.

Once we get the fast 4 door AMG confirmed (most likely ROCK). Then I will go over to the M5 Board and get one of their 4 doors to come.

Evening guys,

I hope that some of you are planning on coming out to cheer on ROCK.
The other reason I would like for you to attend, is to get your opinion on the Event in general. Next year we are going to be doing an Event that will be geared for any Mercedes Benz Vehicle plus all other foreign exotic cars along with the Vipers, Ford GT 40's, and Corvettes. There will be a National Car Magazine as the Marque Sponsor. Just wanted to get your thoughts.
