How would the E55 sound with a straight pipe from resonator/xpipe to tips?

That being said, you could do a trick setup with some custom mufflers running through one set of tips and the bypasses running through the other set of tips. It would be tight to fit it all in but it could be done.
I had always thought of trying corsa mufflers on an AMG:

On an LS6, they are quiet at cruise with a throaty but quiet idle. When you add throttle, all hell breaks lose in a very big way and the sound is AWESOME!
It was the best sounding exhaust I have had on any car including an F car with a nice setup.

Here's a sound clip right before i removed the remaining cats(Secondary). Basically it's the Kleeman headers, Primary Cats Removed, Secondary Cats Intact, Resonator Delete, and Eisenmann Race exhaust

How did you plumb them in to make it clean? If someone is using them frequently (especially when sitting in traffic), I would want to see the exhaust properly exiting the underside of the car and not just dumping underneath it.

well I straight-piped it today from the front cats back and man, it sounds like pure sex. Only problem I have now is that at 1800rpm (70mph) cruising there is a sweet spot drone. So I gotta put some mufflers back on.
Problem is, I am not gonna pay $2500 for mufflers. So does Borla or any other manufacturer have mufflers that sound good, little louder than stock but not obnoxious? (yet still under $1500)
Any suggestions?

I was thinkin about puttin a x-pipe where the resonators once were so I can get rid of this one spot with a lil drone. Other then that I think it sounds awesome....I'll try to find the video...

I have actually thought about throwing Corsa mufflers back there also!!
I even wrote them an email asking them if they would consider making a system for our cars... Especially seeing as how they now have a system for the M5!
Best sounding muffler by far.

"SPM" (Straight Pipes and Mullets) is where this is heading, boys!
You might as well get yourself a big pick-'em-up, throws some duals aka "cannon's" on the back, put a Confederate flag in the rear window, and hell; maybe even a "**** on BMW" picture doing this kind of bs...
In Minnesota this is a common scene (SPM) and it just makes me ill to think of an E55 sounding like that.
