It does not surprise me that there are so many great deals like that around especially lately...... but what does surprise me is that not a lot of people are jumping on this. This car is almost $23k below MSRP and is considered almost brand new yet still 0 bids

Now is the time to buy one of these awsome machines for more than an awsome price.

You are 100% correct. I don't see why more poeple don't jump into these cars for the price level they are at now. A truly unbeatable package from the performance, styling & comfort level.

great car, and you did a really nice job with the listing!

and yes it's crazzzy no bids @ 69k.. this car is almost brand new & MSRP 94k!

i wonder if you sold it back to the dealer, couldn't you get at least 69k or more?

I haven't contacted a dealer to purchase the car. I'll try that and let you know what they say. Probably $50K!

Because like or not, 69k is a heavy number in today's market and economy. There are a lot less buyers of highline cars currently. Take a look at the auction values which is less than retail but gives one perspective. These are all 2007 E63's and yes they have more miles but are still under factory warranty unless otherwise noted at the auction.

01/31/08 RIVRSIDE Lease $61,250 17,788 Below ARCT WHT 8G A No
01/25/08 NEVADA Regular $61,000 12,203 Below BLACK 8G A No
01/16/08 W PALM Regular $66,500 15,063 Avg BLACK 8G A Yes
01/16/08 W PALM Lease $62,000 26,472 Below BLACK 8G A No
01/03/08 RIVRSIDE Lease $65,750 14,913 Avg ARC WHT 8G A Yes
12/20/07 RIVRSIDE Lease $63,000 12,752 Avg IRI SIL 8G A Yes

First off, quoting higher mileage auction cars is not a fair comparison. I can pull Manheim MMR's as well but I've been to numerous auctions and seen cars like these run through. The cars went to auction for a reason. It is VERY rare to see perfect cars roll through there. 12 - 26K miles is considered higher mileage as well on this type of car. Keep it under 10K before you sell it and you're much better off. I agree there are far few buyers for these cars today.

As I mentioned, they were posted for perspective so I am not sure why you would consider my post a comparo? Also I see the highline auctions every 3rd and 4th Thursday at Riverside, CA so I too have first hand knowledge. It is very rare as you mentioned to see perfect cars but where I am at in Cali most of the cars are good.

As a lender for car loans in a declining market, values of cars are even more soft than before. I also agree that miles are huge for the right client. Most of us I believe are very discerning when it comes to quality, fit and finish on used cars. So the 69k might just be right for someone- but not for me

Also is this the same car you were trying to sell in October 2007 for 75k? You might want to put it in the classifieds section. Good luck either way.

Yes, same car. Haven't tried to push the sale until recently. Too many toys in the garage and I haven't driven this car in over 2 months.

Would you like me to redirect this to the classifieds too? It will stay here as a "soft post" so you can get double exposure.

Vic,

Given these prices, will MB negotiate the residual?

I dont think so, I know Chase does but I have not heard of MBCC adjusting. Imagine some of the 65 leases they are getting back where they over estimated those residuals, ouch!!!

What outstanding balance? the bank eats that, that is why we wondered if MBCC would start to deal. I got $10K credit towards the next AMG when I ended my previous lease early. I'd talk to the finance people at your dealer and see if they can't pull strings. mine was on the phone with MBCC for about an hour to get my deal done. They may not have done it in the past, but they better start or they will start eating lots of cars.
