Where are you guys mounting your Exhaust Cut-Outs?

The electric ones. Where are you mounting them underneath AND where are you mounting the push-button actuator?

06 E55 SOLD, 89 300 SE 375,000 miles
Just before the mufflers, otherwise it defeats the purpose and I mounted the control unit in the ash tray.

Got them right after the headers so when they are open it's pure thunder. You can even see blue flames shoot out some times. Switch is in the ash tray.

Jangy, the answer to your question is...........because it's FUN!

if you have them installed just after primary cats, for how many miles can I expect of not having problems at all with noises ..?

I saw another interesting fitment, perhaps still fun enough but more functional, just before mufflers and connected to an additional pipe with outlet within the stock end-tip
