supercharger porting

just wondering if any body has looked in to supercharger porting. i see mustang guys getting 50 or 60 hp at the tires with it

There is no need for it.
It is equaly beneficial to install freer flowing headers, deleting the primary cats, and installing an 80mmTB. This increases the efficiency of the blower without the need for porting its internal chambers.

I had Stiegemeier port and polish my HPS SC for my E430. He is one of the top guys who do this for the Mustang Cobra crowd. My SC is an Eaton M90 which is similar to the Mustang setup. I think the 50 HP you are talking about might involve a pulley swap as well. I think Stiegemeier was saying around 25-30HP from porting.

Of course all that being said I'm pretty sure the E55 runs a Lysholm SC so the above #'s probably do not apply. If you are interested in porting your SC you may want to get in touch with Finny. He documented his porting job on his E55 supercharger. It starts with post #73 in the following link

thanks thats very cool i wonder how it worked out in the end for finny do you no if the car made more power after the porting.

I haven't gotten him to answer an email for over a month and he hasn't posted any updates since December that I am aware of so not sure what ever happened.

Anyone know?
