VRP cams

well good news Vadim got my car up to 520hp and says he will have it at 530 safely by friday. so VRP cams put out at least 12 hp and if it gets to 530 ill be happy with the cams. I cant wait to drive it since it felt fast at 485hp.

Doesn't your car have the long tube Supersprint headers and their complete exhaust system? Assuming you have a pulley and TB too, I would have guessed the cams would produce more power than you're reporting. I'd still trade my car's HP for yours, though.

I sure hope he posts those dynos. I gotta tell ya, that is some SERIOUS gains by messing with tune only. Maybe he did some other things, but either way...... Great job Vadim. That's why I am willing to drive 650miles each way. Only for you brotha.

Well Rocket, glad to see you're finally getting your VRP cams worked out. Vadim will do his best. Enjoy it and let us know the difference you feel after the tune.

Yo Rocket!! Nice numbers, bro!! I'm chasing you, but don't think I'm getting too far past 500 to the floor for now. Glad Vadim was abe to get it worked out so soon. His first hunch is usually spot on .

Let me say this once and for all. ALL VRP tunes sold out of or worked on by Vadim and PC are CUSTOM. They take the best tune for a particular setup (and I do mean best) and then tweak it for each client based on dyno AND datalogger data. Yes, it is more labor intensive, but it is TIGHT!!

Your car is sweet and I love the time attack rims!! what's the specs on them?

Custom tune is king. Well worth the money IMHO. Much better than just a standard universal flash.

And what about those TA rims? Post up some pictures.

Custom Tunes

Is VADIM the only TUNER in the COUNTRY that can do an E55 CUSTOM ECU tune. It's just not realistic for me to send my car 5,000 miles round trip for a tune. There's gotta be another TUNER out here on the east coast somewhere's?????????????

Higgens ... where do you live? See my other thread on the tuning road trip and let me know your thoughts! Maybe with enough effort and $$$, we can convince Vadim to come East and slap down some custom tunes for us!?

Trust me bro, it isn't just the top numbers. The car will drive soooo refined that you will notice it big-time.

Let me know when you come back down and we'll do a get together.

Yes, Vadim is currently the only one that has worked with a chip tuner to get a refined tune for the 55ks. Most specifically, they have full control of the load limiter, which takes top end away from most ALL tunes.

Best scenario is obviously to let him have the car. It may not be realistic until you do it. I drive about an hour and a half each way and go about twice a week (once to drop off and once to pick up). Realistically, I would have spent less just shipping it and letting him have it for a spell, but thats the breaks.

An alternative route would be to have a shop run the project from your end and do what Vadim tells them. All they need to do is get the base flash and send the dyno and datalog data to Vadim. Then, he can tell PC what he wants tweaked and you get it back.

As Rocket said, the beauty of having it in Vadim's hands is that he is VERY complete. The data he generates is massive. Not useless by any means, but massive.

FYI.. Rocket's latest dyno was 524rwhp... Uncorrected it was 543rwhp...

That was in 3rd gear with 20" wheels.. 3rd gear is worth 10rwhp diff, and 20" wheels Vadim found was worth 18rwhp when he was dyno tuning a 63 in the past... that would mean a 4th gear pull with 18" wheels would net a +25rwhp at least... that would bring Rocket's car to 550rwhp.

Vadim & Jeremy are still tweaking..

FYI... Vadim does every dyno in 3rd gear because there is too much airflow needed to support 170mph in 4th gear on the dyno..

The question I have on this is the actual logistics of flashing the tune to the car. Is powerchips licensing their software so that local tuners could actually do this (flash a tune file to my car as e-mailed to them by PC/Vadim)?

Holy smokes, so how much would be attributed to just the cam? or assuming no cam what range of hp and tq would he have

Its good to hear that everything is working well...Hope to see some dyno sheets soon....

I hope I can get some tip as welll on how to get the most power with Cams out of my beast but I guess I would have to dyno 1st or at least do some datalogging...

Now let wait and see what will Jims car makes...

What does all this corrected and un-corrected mean in dummy terms? I think all my dynos before were uncorrected?

Neveo if I understand all this stuff the cams put down 25-30hp. only way I will realy know is at the track and or having Adam dyno it after on the normal dyno I use to see the difference.

If this is all true There is no way any of you guys should not send your car to Vadim for a tune. Yes its pricey but compare it to the other mods you have and price you paid. its all over priced but in line with what benzs cost. Even shipping from east coast is worth it.
