How to tell if it is an AMG?

Lol Just spent 20 mins reading this entire thing. Absolutely hilarious. I love this forum. Need more threads like this, destroying people that think it is ok to put AMG badges on non AMG cars. That bit about the 4 acres in Bev. Hills, I'm from Australia, never having been there even I recognise that as total bull.
You should see the amount of "M3" drivers here in Sydney, they buy the E36 and stick an //M badge on the back, not even centred to the right spot, looks ridiculous. Have seen afew //AMG wannabes, one guy had a 1995 c200 and stuck an //AMG badge on it, but they stuck it on the top of the trunk (so its facing the sky)? WTF are they on?

I know this post is being brought back fro the dead, sorry. But I've seen both a "vtec" Corolla, and a "type r" cavalier in the past month!

2002 S430
A buddy gave me a 2002 S 430 and upon given me the car he noted the wrong S 500 badge on the trunk. The trunk also has an AMG badge. I did some online research on the VIN and it confirms that the vehicle is an AMG. After reading many of the post here I'm now very skeptical. Any insight would be appreciated.

There are so many posers out there that wish they had an AMG, I've seen AMG badges on cars that aren't even a Mercedes.
