R8 Lambo E55
R8, was left for dust. Very unimpressed with the car. Really it is a pumped up Rs4 Audi. I think a stock e55 would beat this car hands down! But the noise of all 3 cars was fantastic. I will get video footage!

As regards the Gallardo, well the LP640 is the only true Lamborghini out there. You don't see 12 of those on my six mile drive to Sunday brunch.

I'm not a big fan of the R8 but, lets be honest with ourselves, your E55 wouldn't see which way it went through the curves.

As to the R8, everyone seems to be excited but I am underwhelmed and there is really no room to tune it so that really kills it for me. The last "real" car Audi produced was the first generation RS4 with the twin turbo V6...that was a hell of a car!

The B5 RS4 is still my favorite Audi to date...

im not a big fan of the r8 period. ok it sounds nice but thats about it
its not fast.
and i dont think its that great looking either, but then again im not a fan of lambos either, or most exotics in general.
my problem with the r8 is the price. at 130kish i could look at a lot of supercars.
like used gt2s and lambos, new gt3s, 997tts, clk63 amg black series. and even the m6 with about 20k coin to spare. used sl65, 360 moderna.
that doesnt even include the list of sedans in the 80-100k market that would dust it. brand new.
this would be like if porsche changed the paint scheme on a cayman and said, ok now were gonna double the price and get close to the 997tt. i guess what im saying is you can get a whole lot more car elsewhere for a whole lot less.
and by used, im meaning like no more than 2-3 years old cars.
if the r8 was priced at 80-90k it would be a nice buy for the right buyer, but honestly i can get similar looks and performance from an M coupe roadster for about 40k brand new. so 1/3 the price. or the lotus elise. for 50k.
