Jakpro1 Dyno and Tuning
Once you get a baseline, than you can compare his current 530 HP to that DYNO to document any gains. Am I missing anything??
Congrats on the pick up from 507-540...That is some serious pick up in HP from when it got to VADIMS. But it would be nice to compare it to what it was before all the new engine work was done......

I bet flipping Idaho has better dynos then we have.
If you could only make some cash on them, I would buy one myself. 1-200$ an hour, you'd have to have that baby full all day to pay for itself and that sure ain't gonna happen here.
I gotta try to find the before dyno I had. Dyno guy up here SWEARS his machine is totally accurate and then gives a torque number of 684 to the wheels. I was all excited so I posted it and everyone started laughing. Man, that was a rough day. I knew something was wrong when someone said, "Jim, that's like 850ft lbs from the crank of torque. Ahhhhhh.....no"
More Important Jackpro is your car done yet? Was it worth it to do the heads? What was your final HP? I cant wait to get that thing on the track.

Wish me luck that we make it on the dyno tomorrow. Just like Vadim, I wanna get this baby home and on the road for some kills.

You still have one of the fastest and most powerful E55 BEASTS around and that goes for Jim's car also. Thanks for updating us on your progress for your new CAMS, BOX and DYNO TUNE.............We will have to wait for Jim's final numbers. It's his turn now........
Take care bro............
I think to have a clear understanding of where your car sits in terms of power is to take it to the track and do a 1/4 mile pass.
Dont forget.. your BEFORE dyno was done with 18" wheels and your after dyno was done with 20" wheels. That is worth 10rwhp at a minimum..
Also, Vadim did your dyno pulls in 3rd gear.. Your BEFORE Dyno with Adam was done in 4th gear and on a different dyno.. Thats worth 12-15rwhp.
4th gear pulls at this power level we are seeing that there is just not enough airflow to satisfy the motor when you are going 170mph on a stationary dyno.
There are 10 sets of these cams installed on various vehicles and the ones that did dyno got 25-30rwhp out of them.
You saw how the airbox swap on JakPro's car netted 28rwhp without touching anything else.
These mods are proven to make power.. When your car came in it was at 485rwhp and it went out at 550rwhp.. those are the only 2 numbers we can compare directly because they were done by the same person on the same dyno.
Please do some 1/4mile passes at the track and see how the car is running.
As for the CELs, I've talked to Vadim about it extensively.. It is not a power-robbing thing.. the CEL comes on because the amount of Vacuum that the MAP sensor is seeing is outside the allowed range.. Jeremy is looking for the map that has these threshold values so we can increase them. Becuase of the agressive nature of the cams, when you are on the throttle hard and then all of a sudden lift, that sudden change is what throws off the MAP sensor.. Other than the annoying yellow light, it is not causing any power problems on your car. But once we do find it, we will reflash for you and it will take care of it.

Since we establish the baseline in the same gear therefore the gains are the delta between before and after.

550 whp sound good to ME...wihtout CATs I should make a bit more with same mods...+ taiking into consideration that Rockets cars if I recall corretly dynoed stock at 408whp...which not that great compared to some stock 55 dynoed 415-420whp...
Anyways I cant wait for Jims final numbers...and Rockets 1/4 runs with same wheels on the track

Would love to track it down there at least once before I get her home.
Weird how time flies. Wife mentioned that we started this whole thing on Valentines Day. I honestly thought it had only been 3-4 weeks.
