Question SDS, Star Diagnostics Mods?

Going to the dealer this week to get some SDS work done.

1. Xenon Present

2. 10 Degree Fan

3. Phone/Bluetooth Present

4. Lower DC Airmatic

Anything I am missing here?

Wanna feel something cool, have him clear the tranny adaptations while you are there. Car will feel totally different after.

warning*** Shifts are more aggresive for a hundred miles or so. Some guys hate that and like the smoother feel. I like um punching me in the back.

You can also enable the "Fuel Capacity remaining" option..

And I like disabling the auto-raising of headrests when the seat is moved backwards.. drives me crazy!

what do these mods do (1,2, and 3)? Especially 2 (makes the fan cut on 10deg sooner) and 3?

definitely make the headrest sit still.

I also like to have the position of the driver seat adjusted. As it is, if you use the easy exit feature, it only allows the seat to go back so far (as not to crush lil toes). That location can be moved back for those of us that rarely carry passengers and like to stretch out.

By Xenons, do you mean you retrofitted and need to turn on the functionality? I've heard rumors that the '06 E55 can have the active fogs turned on as well through star. I dunno if it means getting new units or what, but I'd be down.

1. I did a Bi Xenon retrofit you can see it here.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...016&highlight=

2. Yes, fan comes on 10 degrees cooler.

3. 2004 E55 w/Nav have all the hands free items installed and the network that supports bluetooth if you install the puck. To make it work, it must be version coded (turned on) for "phone present" as now the bluetooth puck is the phone.

4. Thats me low rider, going to go as low as the factory camber will allow.

All done, just a few notes here,
1. Lights work great.
2. Too cold here today to really tell looked 1 bar lower, I need a hot day.
3. The puck with tail works with the I phone, this is big news as wireless for MB says function is unknown, I will do a bigger post regarding this after I fool around with it. Right now it makes calls, receives calls, caller ID, downloaded phone book, nav key board can dial and hang up, the wheel controls work and the MFD displays call information, more to come.
4.Set new ride hight and did 4 wheel alignment, only got 1/4 inch lower and that was all the camber adjustment we had. so if you lower your car much more than stock expect above average wear on the insides of your front and rear tires. Next mod is the eccentric cam & bushing kit and an ELM with toe links of course.
5. Gallons remaining
6. Head rest over ride, man it took me like 20 minutes to find my sweet spot again, (I pushed the memory button)but it is all reset and I now use the entry exit feature too.

Plus Mercedes Benz wants my cats back, Most 04 will get new primary cats. under a service campaign.

i should have posted before you went in but was too lazy. can we use sds to allow our steering wheel radio buttons to scroll through our preset stations instead of scanning. that is REALLY annoying!

Thanks, never too late, I may try this

http://www.gnetcanada.com/navvideo-m...b2x_mbw211.asp

With the I pod intergration kit and there are some scrolling issues when you have 100 movies and 10,000 songs
I'll start my notes now, thanks Mikey.
