What a scam and this is from their head sales manager here in my country!!
Hate to break it to you Zod, but it's not standard. It's part of the full Merino Leather package and I paid close to $4,000 US for it. Nowhere near $8,000 sterling, but alas, tis not standard sir.

Let's prove our classiness (is that a word?) by not responding in a negative way. If you personally got service from him, then it's ok to complain to his manager.

But let's not go crazy based on an Internet post.

Who was it that called him out? I thought about it briefly, but after awhile I decided it wasn't my business.

The guy is still a major douchebag for those comments though.

ah sorry i stand corrected....went back and checked and i forgot to add this, the other color was sepang bronze light and had the holes in it (perforated) both optional leather intriors i belive no?

My point was both were same price and after 3-4 vists finaly agreed on price and was set and ready to get it and pooooof sorry sir price now is 35k kuwaiti dinars when it was on 30k and there was a possible agreement of 29 before that to!.

My problem was that Both were same price, but then suddenly the red one jumped 5k up! (5k kuwaiti = near enough 10k sterlin pounds)

Fellow members, he is a parts guy and may never reach any level of Mercedes Benz ownership (at the rate he is going) and I am sure that his envy is the motivation for his little rant. He has every right to post what ever he wants, no matter how stupid it is. Now are you really that offended? Would you trade places with Matt? Is the direction of your life influenced by Matt? That said, let him keep his job (it must be torture for him) and the world will keep spinning. BTW I am living proof that Mercedes Benz owners are idiots, so Matt may be on to me.

That's funny as hell. It's probably the slacker son of the guy on the "Real House Wifes of Orange County" and wanted to get fired.

Why let someone like this kid get under your skin? You probably have the nicer car and the better job so let it go. I concur with him that probably a GOOD majority of the folks out there have no clue about the mechanics of ANY car. Heck, my dad was quoted $600 bucks for a spark plug change.....they get those prices for a reason......some people just don't understand what is all entailed in competing the job and think there is some magic to it.

Absolutely I'm offended. No I would not trade places with "matt". Yes my life very well could be influenced by someone like this guy.

I am a master certified tech for MB. SLR certified as well. I have worked very hard to achieve the recognition that I have. I am in no way a crook (yes I will admit there are crooks in the industry). The things that this guy is posting, weather in an internet forum or elsewhere, are the kind of things that keep people from coming to the dealership for service. Subsequently taking money out of my pocket.

I truely hope that "matt" lost his job as was previously posted. I also hope that his s4 turbos desinigrate and that some "crafty" service person gets a hold of him.

If you think I'm being sensitive try having someone bash you, your industry, and product that you have worked very hard to build a name for.

Sorry for the rant.

Nothing wrong with being a MB Tech or mechanic of any form for that matter. Especially if you have pride in your work.

Wow I think people take things way too seriously. So what that some guy thinks I'm an idiot because I drive a certain car? Good for him, he looks like a bigger idiot for making the statements he made. I would definitely not go out of my way to get him fired over his opinions, he has bills to pay or a family to feed no matter how stupid he is. Oh well...

Well that wasn't very bright to make those kind of comments on the web. Hopefully he doesn't have a wife and kids that have suffered from this. I am a parts advisor as well and it's not easy finding a job with MB. He should have had a little more respect for the people that employ him and the clients that keep food on the table. I know plenty of people that would kill for a job at a privately owned dealer of their size. Best of luck to him. Hopefully it's a lesson learned.

I don't know if anyone did for sure, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if the service director at F.J. got it again.

Go for it!

While this wasn't the brightest move, we've all said stuff about our customers - like them being stupid, or arrogant, or something.

The internet message board community is supposed to be a place where folks can talk some smack and have some fun, and many people are emboldened by this. And you hope for a certainamount of anonymity where the risk of someone going real world on you should be small.

Get over yourselves - give this guy a break - let his talk a big game on the web - I mean really -is it really imapcting you AT ALL? What purpose are you gonna serve by getting him fired? Feel big and important?

People amaze me.
