Chicago/Midwest-PRIVATE TRACK DAY-May 17***
i ran some stock E55s and lost to them, lol. they pretty much slowly pulled on me down the track. maybe it'll be closer when i get more miles on my car
.all in all, it was a great time and wonderful to meet everyone.
wayne, thanks for hosting the event and being a class act.
Sounds like you have a FAST 63 nice trap speed for a stock 63 with less than 1k miles.
Id love to see your slips, especially heads up vs the stock 55. Hope you had a great time despite the heat and wind. Once some of the slips are up I can do some sae corrections to sea level.
Great job , your car will wake up appx .2 and 2 mph in a few thousand miles. I think you are ahead of other low mileage stock 63 runs in DA of 2-3k. The weather you had is our typical day so it makes for easier comparison. We see alot of 12.70's here
It was an awesome time, despite me not having my own Beast there.
Vids/pics are on the way, and C32used was right - the next one is July 19th.
Thanks again to LET and CPT for sponsoring the event.
Honestly I think it is a harder car to 60 well in.
Kudos to you man , it takes courage to allow others to captain your ship. So I am sensing the car got slower and slower as the day got hotter and the traction went bye bye?
was your 12.73 run also your 113.40 trap? Did you have fun? Man I am soooooo missing racing the car it is eating me up

The E63 was a gorgeous ride - the seats and paddle shifters were to die for.
ENDSMTG has really stepped up his game...he treed me by .06 on one run against the E63.
I don't feel nervous driving OPV, but honestly it's hard to hammer one 100%. At least on the first pass.
Jay Nixon let me pilot his Stage 1 E55, and the first run was honestly a bit sideways for the first 60' on its way to a 12.2x. I stayed in it all the way with a bit of opposite lock, and she corrected nice and gradually into the groove.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Sounds like the guys are ready for bracket racing !!! dam nice R/T's I would say on the street the 63 is easier to handle but that same lack of low end hurts her on the drag strip especially the first 60 ft. Hammering out better than 1.85 is a real challenge. 2.0 is respectable so dont feel bad. did you happen to notice where the 63 was shifting, were you in dyno mode? How much of an edge did the stock 55 have on the stock 63 at this particular event? When is the East vs West vs Mid West Mercedes Benz Challenge event championship 1 million dollar race?

It is not too often you see a stock car that has the "it" factor and that one certainly did. Kind of surprised me really...
Damn, can't wait for the East vs. West showdown.....It's all fun&games til I drop some 1.70 60's on Juicee&Mo

P.S.-My jockey skills are for hire at that event

I thought you were racing today??? Man its 100 degrees here! ATCO 08!
Wonder if these guys actually shot video? LOL!!! Comon man Lakers are not on I have a keg of beer and I need some footage, timeslips, etc...

I am still waiting on the guys for the pics/vids from my car!
Im surprised that no one talked/posted about the Saleen Mustang that got destroyed on the track. She was smoking all the way down....looked like a head gasket or blown valve...
Had to be towed out...
