I would say that it would surprise me, but nothing would surprise me after being slammed with a 'status 8' over an 18 hp mod. Realize that once you roll into an ******* dealer's service bay, you are taking your chances if you have anything on your car that isn't stock.
I'm confident that you'd prevail in court, since all the SB does is change the rate that the gas is applied. But do you want to have to litigate? Realize that MBUSA has an insanely unreasonable stance on mods and take your chances.

I'm thinking that MBUSA knows about the SB and all other mods, and have informed there mechanics to check for any mods before they start working on the car. I'm not quiet sure that my stealer is mod friendly. So I can't take any chances.

They actually said I needed new tires cause my rears were BALD. I explained they were semi-slicks for the drag strip..Guess as long as you pay for service nobody cares. Service @ Mercedes is no longer free. Maybe this is why? SB is definately not somethingthey would care about but it is easy enough to remove prior to service.Your direct port NOS and intercooler may prove more difficult to explain

Do you guys think that MBUSA will try to find aftermarket parts on our car to void warranty? I am planning on getting VRP 530 this summer. It is kind of scary to hear what happened to Skeeter's car. I talked to my SA about the mod and he was very cool about it. SA told me to make sure that I find respectable tuner. Any thoughts? I am sorry if this is a little off topic.

I doubt many of them are experienced enough to tell the difference from stock. Even if they do make the comment they're not going to take the car apart to investigate.
