what is the recommended 50K mile Service? I have 48K now and i want to avoid getting raped again at the dealer ... does anyone know what they typically do/check at 50K??

I am in the same boat...so good info would be appreciated.

I have some stuff for the dealer to install (New MP Design Wheel and 160* Thermostat) as well as the usual oil change. Think I will get them to drain and fill the tranny fluid and the brake lines along with inspecting the brake pads which should be close to needing replaced although they are making no screeching noises.

Forgot to mention I will be trying to talk my SA into doing the IC pump upgrade also...trying the 'car loses power after a few spirited runs' approach.

Same with me. Had B service done at 42K but I don't feel like that was enough. I'm gonna turn 50K next time I start er up.

I would do engine oil, all filters, brake fluid, coolant dump, diff fluid, and tranny fluid. You should also clean the sunroof tracks, lube the latches on the doors and trunk, and apply silicone to the door and trunk seals to prevent creaking.

You should also have a full inspection of wear and tear items (brakes, suspension, hoses, belts). I would throw a supercharger belt on if it were me as they are cheap and quick to do.

Beyond this, the only thing open for debate would be the plugs and a power steering fluid refresh.

So I guessing you have lost you maintenance manual??? Dripping sarcasm.
You can go to MBUSA owners online and register with your VIN number and then you can download this booklet.

ANYWAY, from the 2007 E-Class booklet
Service 12, Change oil and filter
US Service 13 - first at 10,000 miles or 1 year; after first every 20,000 miles or 2 years
Engine compartment
Check catch, safety catch and hinges on engine hood for proper operation 8851
Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary.
If there is a loss of fluid, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order
Brake system 4210
Power steering 4611
Windshield washer system (incl. summer/winter cleanser) 8210
Interior
Reset maintenance service indicator in instrument cluster 0042
Function check
Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting - - - -
Windshield wipers, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system, where applicable: rear window wiper, rear
window washer system
8252
Wheels, brakes
Inspect tires for damage and splits, measure tread depth and record in mm 4051
Check condition/thickness of front brake pads/discs (remove 1 front wheel) 4251
Correct tire inflation pressure - - - -
Trunk
Check battery condition using “Midtronics MCR 717” tester 5453
Check trunk lighting - - - -
Check TIREFIT sealant expiration date (wagons with third row seat only) 4045
Vehicle front/rear
Check wiper blade condition 8253
Which is the same thing they do at 10K miles

/sarcasm returned

Show me in the manual where it says 'This is what others that have reached the 50K milestone have seen as problems that will/can occur in the nest 15K miles and to get the dealer to fix these potential problems BEFORE the car is out of warranty" in the manual.

/sarcasm off

Seriously, this is a forum for members to share right? We were not asking what the MANUAL says as we all know that and our stealership will be more than happy to do those services. We were just interested in what may go wrong in near future and what to have them check NOW while under warranty.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

8 - Remove K&N Filters and blow out all dust/etc. $ 31.50.
9 - Transmission/converter drain and fill. $ 245.40
