Is W211 E55 the worst depreciating car with msrp under $100k?
The 55's have begun to drop more after the release of the 63's which is typical for any car, back in 05 when I got mine low mileage 03's were in the high sixty's and low seventy's. So the steep drop has come after the end of production which is expected.
The economy is also not helping by killing the price of many premium cars, heck you can get an 07 cl600 for 110,000 from a dealer.
. A car with an msrp of 150+, for forty grand cheaper a year later, you got to love this country.
That's why I would not buy a high end Ferrari until I can drive it for at least 50k miles with out worrying about how much money I just lost. (my 2 cents)
Good lord is this a classic!
TK (aka "I can personally shift a stick faster than a SMG tranny!")

Also, did anyone mention Audi having a really bad resale value also?? Just as bad as the Jag... well almost!

Iron Sheik

I was looking at getting a used A8 for awhile, and even the 2004's with higher mileage and no warranty left were still going in the high $30s. I thought it was nuts. Can get something much better for the same price.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
With the equivalent of $5-$6 a gallon gas over there, they have fewer guzzling monsters floating around. If you are in the market for one, then you can probably expect to pay more. Supply vs. Demand.
That's my theory anyhow.
If they sell in euro, sales would go down at least 40%.A fully loaded e63 will set you back for 112000 euro which=$169000.would any body pay that much for med size MB.

. Any body here have a PHD in economics that can explain why cars in the USA depreciate twice as fast as the rest of the world.
