*** VRP CLK63 Cabriolet Project ***
Ladies and Gentlemen,
One of our clients was kind enough to send us his brand new CLK63 Cabriolet for product develeopment and customization.
Plans include:
- Kompressor system with low and high boost levels
- Upgraded drivetrain with Quaife differential
- Custom suspension
- Custom brakes with composite rotors
- Black Series wide body
- Custom wheels
Once I get over 1000 miles on the car I will take it for a baseline dyno.

I am stoked to see this happen.....

The white is the sharpest color on that car.I have been very impressed with your knowledge, work ethic and dedication to "getting it right" with all of the vehicles you have modified. Although many of the larger companies who modify our cars do a good job, it seems to me you are the one who has the sharpest grasp on what the clients are looking for, how to get there and "ahead of the curve" knowledge on how the cars perform. I must acknowledge and appreciate all the time and effort you have devoted to your profession.
When I purchase my cls55, I think the first step will be getting it on a vehicle transpo to your shop.

It's a tough, long road.. Doing R&D and making individual pieces work together as a package is what makes companies real tuners.. We are working towards this goal...
Whenever you are ready, we will be here to help you!!

I'll be keeping a close eye on this interesting and cool project.
Time for baseline.
Blue Graph - stock.
Red Graph - no charcoal filters.
Green Graph - VRP HiFlow filters.
Since stock CLK63 is rated at 475HP, we are down 25 RWHp vs. E, CLS, and S/CL63s. During dyno I scanned the car and timing is down 3-4 degrees vs. other chassis. This could very well explain the difference in power.
The remainder of VR530 is next, than Powerchip software and than shorty headers.

Finally, after speaking with 3 different dealers, I have 21 pages worth of diagrams and part #s to do this.. Black Series stuff is almost as hard to find as the CLK-DTM stuff ... lol...
I think I now have a complete list of parts required to do the project.
We will be doing the full dual exhuast conversion and everything else required to make the outside of the car look like a Black Series.
In parts cost alone we are at almost $13,000 in case anyone else is thinking about doing this to their 63. I'll take some pics of the body panels once we receive everything and post them for you guys.
