is it just me, or is everyone getting continuous pop-up ads from Circuit City on this forum.

I'm getting them for both Circuit City and Lincoln. As if any mbworld user would really consider trading in a Benzo for a Town Car or get their sound system done at Circuit City...

 

Switch to Firefox and you should be okay. See MB_Forever's link to the off topic section about this issue.

 

I thought that was my computer. Glad to hear other people are having the same issue, well not glad to hear, but you know what I mean.

 

download the google toolbar with built in pop up blocker and youll never see a pop up again and its free.

I believe IE version 6 and higher come with built-in pop-up blockers. However, this built in pop-up blocker won't help in this case because it only blocks new windows from opening not pop up scripts. But if you're interested in a stronger blocking setting for a different website, you can always change the IE blocking settings to a more aggressive profile by going to:

1) Tools --> Internet Options.
2) Click on the "Privacy" tab.
3) Under the Pop-up Blocker section, click on "Settings"
4) Under the Filter Level section, select "High: Block all pop ups (Ctrl to override)"

+1 Google popup block works great.

 

Firefox with google toolbar its free and lots off option. I have not seen a popup two years.
