Hmm,what happened there?Theres no denying the Porsche's performance as blistering but I've seen bone stock Z06's run 11.2@127mph at Atco rentals&10.85@130mph w D/R's
Was something really wrong with the Z06 or did Porsche send over a ringer

My guess is that the 997GT2 is a mid to high 10 second car. This race was up to 180mph. It seems that the 997GT2 must trap higher than 130mph.

My grandmother can shift faster than that guy! I never heard him get 1st to 2nd right and you could have taken a nap between his 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. Granted if that car has the same tranny as my CTS-V the 2nd to 3rd is a long throw, but he should be ashamed! None-the-less we all knew what the outcome of that was going to be, just thought the vette could put up a little better fight.

Weird, Z06 and GT2 have pretty much the same power/weight ratio (GT2 has 25 more hp but weighs about 100lbs more). As far as GT2 trapping 130mph+ and running mid 10's, there is no way in hell that is possible in a 530hp, 3,200lbs car period. Porsche Carrera GT with 610hp, 3,000lbs runs 11 flat at 132mph.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Am anxiously awaiting release of new GT2..... all 997 Porsches are absolutely fabulous, especially Turbo/GT3/GT3RS and of course for a track car GT2..... They drive great, and I would love to have one someday. (Turbo/GT3 that is)
FYI: Although I am awaiting release of new GT2, I did not purchase one - merely I want to read about them, see one at my dealer, etc.......

Wow! Impressive!
I need to get me one of those in the future!
I wasn't expecting it to kill Z06 that badly...Bus-lengths~
reminds me of a race between Proto 750 GT2 vs Murci couple months ago
up to 199mph! (Let's just say 7 bus-length or i couldn't even count or see)
By lookin at that vid, even if he shifted that Z06 perfectly, it seems like it would have no chance against 997 GT2.

not trying to take anything a way from the p car as it deserves the props it receives but lets be realistic about the capabilities of the z06... yeah i am a bit biased as i have one.. 490 rwhp with intake/tune/headers ...next week close to 600 rwhp with head/cam/ and still maintain drivability, total cost of mods less than 6k

the GT2 is amazing!
but I agree with a lot of the comments about the Z06... experience RHD driver in a LHD car, it also didn't sound like he was pushing as hard as it could and his shifts were pretty damn slow (all of which go back to the first comment--RHD in LHD).

- Absolute joke. At least it gave me a good laugh.

or something?
10.0 sec 0-100...my C5 ZO6 was faster than that!!
