Nitrous kit 2006 E55?
First, can I even install a nitrous kit on a 2006 E55 because of that computer software limiter deal where it will restrict extra boost or power for that matter.
Second, what nitrous kit do you all recommend and what shot amount should I go with?
Remember my car is 100% stock.
Thanks,

Yes you can add nitrous. Its been done before. Maybe those members will chime in. I have nitrous installed but its on a CLK55. How big of a shot you run depends on how much power you want to make.

I can only get you so far, but at least some info.
Rflow is a huge library of info on NOS.
Here is his post on the subject (well one of them)
He talks about jets he used (when he first started) and the kit he used.
Remember, RFLOW is not using a WOT switch and just relying on the ole thumb on a button to shut er down. Gotta have a lot of faith in your reflexes or poof.
I hooked it up just like he told me and it worked great. Just got nervous about the lean spike upon hitting the button. Spiked well into the 15-16 range for a split second so I chickened out and never went further than a few tests.

Why did your car lean out like that? You sure wou had the right jets in? It shouldnt do that. Maybe your fuel jet was too small or your nitrous jet was too large.

I think you have it confused. Whenever you push the button it sprays and as soon as you let off it stops spraying.
On the lean spike, many cars have them upon pressing the button, but I just got nervous when seeing mine so large. Popular opinion was that the fuel rail was clearing too fast. Don't forget I also am having this supercharger nightmare which could have been with me all along so maybe that had something to do with it....who knows.
Rflow also had his car tuned rich for the NOS and mine was Kleemann tuned (running leaner for more hp).

True, I was just trying to make a point that Rflow is in total control of his NOS flow. Even he will tell you, without a WOT switch, if a first timer starts to go squirrely and forgets to let his finger off the button while letting off the gas...poof.

Interesting. My car experiences no lean spike but starts to run pig rich at upper rpms due to the boost dependant fpr. Were you spraying through the supercharger?

n2o is a proven reliable hp adder...as long as it's tuned properly. DEFINITELY no offense against vadim, but typically the people that warn against it are the ones who don't use it or don't know how to tune for it.

Thanks for all the replies and I know these are all old questions but I'm kinda new to this. Also, remember that I have a 2006 55k motor which is much harder to tune. Or at least that the prespective I have but correct me if I'm wrong.

My thoughts exactly, lots of folk lore as far as nos is concerned. The funny thing is there are alot of guys around with 55 engines that went kaboom with-out the help of NOS. A properly tuned NOS kit is safer than a pulley swap because the nos is only used when needed just my 2 cents.
