E55 on HRE M40 Monoblocks Photoshoot (56k go to lunch!)
We were had to do this shoot Friday evening since they were going up to Bakersfield for a race Sat/Sun, which they also won BTW (congrats). The shoot was done in the back of the Heinz Gietz Autohaus in La Jolla. I'm sure most people who have visited La Jolla know exactly where this is located since you cannot miss it as you turn left onto Girard Ave from Torrey Pines Rd with the huge Mercedes-Benz logo plastered on the building of the only remaining family-owned factory authorized service-only center in the country
Surprisingly, the theme of the surrounding back wall (colors and black iron bars) closely matched the car which made the restrictions worth it as space was very limited to angle the E55 properly without the three other cars showing.
- Here is a breakdown of the mods on this car:
- Renntech ELM
- 19" HRE M40 Monoblock Wheels in a Matte Black Finish
- Black Lug Nuts from the ML (to retain black theme for lug nuts)
- Pirelli P-Zero Tires (255/285 width)
- Evosport Two-piece Brake Rotors
- Matte Black Front Grille with body color-matched slats
- Matte Black Satellite Radio Antenna
- Matte Black Emblems
- Smoked Tail Lights
- Smoked Turn Signals on Side mirrors
- Black E63 trunk lip spoiler
- E63 Steering wheel w/paddles
- Valentine One
- Window Tint
- Clear Bra

Somebody kidnap Ling, throw him in a box, and FedEx him to the East Coast for a photoshoot. This is bull*****

One day, I'll just drive down there and kidnap him

You can PM one of the sponsors on here to get an idea of how much they are. A good one would be Neal at Euroteck Motorsports (BlackC230Coupe).

We're on for the 18th right? I think I replied... or did I ?? Crap, please reconfirm. Please send me the location information so I can look via satellite photos to get an idea of the location.
Correct.

Mapquest shows 3 hours and 39 minutes travel time (220 miles). You haven't replied to my previous 3 e-mails
Not talking about full blown dealerships, just independent service centers. Of the 16 original independent factory authorized service centers, the one here in La Jolla is the only one that remains.
I do but not in those exact dimensions.

as usual....
