Does the ring on my ASP pulley look bent?
Here is a pic. Also figured I would post in this thread. Does anyone have a stock tensioner pulley that would sell me. As you guys know mine was bent a little and I dont want to shread another belt. All i need is the new pulley not the whole tensioner kit. Thanks

It’s tough to visualize from that picture. Know you tossed a belt recently.
How does it appear with the engine running? Does it manifest itself with any untoward tensioner machinations?

I think i tossed a belt because my tensioner pulley was slightly bent due to installer error.

If we can assume it’s square and straight with the other pulleys, it could be out in either the ellipsoidal or tangential plane. Since it is already installed, visual observation of its dynamics is a worthwhile diagnostic troubleshooting step.

I doubt it is bent though, the larger problem is that the ASP is welded on and so many things can go wrong during this process related to concentric alignment. Also the pulley could be key bound, installation problem.
I would really have reservations about the shop you are using if they bent the tensioner pulley and did not tell you. Then to let you drive the car like that, there is a possibility the SC belt can take out the other belt and wham no power steering, crash. Then they fess up to bending tensioner pulley and they don't replace it WTF. You claim that you were sure they torqued the pulley as per the instructions, are you still sure?

Any competent shop can put a dial indicator on it and tell you if it is bent.

Are you certain that the tensioner didn't get bent by the belt on its way out?
IMO, the ASP pulley needs to be checked as well. A very small misalignment can cause bis issues.

I still say it's just that damaged pulley being way out of whack. Wish you didn't have to buy the whole pulley assembly. I say pop a new pulley on ASAP before any more damage is done. Maybe check with Rbrenton like someone else mentioned to see how cheap you can get it.

Wise move, Ask them to check the run-out and alignment on the ASP and tell them the story. I would take the Stock pulley with you in case they find a problem with the ASP. That way you will have a choice, stock or Renntech.
BTW they do have the special tool to torque the crankshaft bolt.

Looks like the section where the larger ring meets the OEM pulley seems warped/wavy... is the rubber damper filling not perished or torn? Does not look right to me.
You need to see how she behaves under load ... sometimes spinning it in neutral does not reveal the problem.
Another thing is how do you damage the tensioner pulley? That takes more than some brute knuklehead effort...

The ASP Pulley is damaged.. How did the lip bend like that? Its almost like it was damaged before install (dropped or something) and then put in the car.
The picture you posted is of the ASP pulley so that is the only thing I was commenting on.

With that bad of an install Hamann, I would be keeping fingers crossed and/or be offering up some prayers that those idiots did NOT damage that crank key or you just bought yourself a brand new bottom end.
Only way we'll know is when they pop off the crank pulley.
PTE is the man. He'll hook ya up.

update- I had my car checked out today by a certified MB mechanic and he says the pulley is install fine and it looks like there not wobbling or anything. I showed him the viabration I was getting and he felt it. When we got back to the shop he checked my motor mounts and turns out one of them is completly shot and leaking. Also the tranny mounts are worn aswell. So I guess that is whats causing the viabration I was feeling.

Jakpro1 wrote Motor mounts have been a problem on a few of our cars. Worth a check.
Also CHECK THAT PULLEY!!! Is she wobbling at all?
How's it look.

Still think you need to replace that bent up and fixed pulley though bro.
If you get the new mounts and she shreds another belt, you gotta pay the cash and get the new part.
