Engine swap to 600 V-12TT?

The low price of this engine could make this an interesting project. What do you guys think?

The price is amazing, someone should jump on this. Brabus made many V12 E55 conversions, so its definitely possible. I wonder how much Brabus would charge for the conversion if you supply the engine, labor-wise, I mean.

For that price you would probably just get the ECU & harness from a stealer.
Its a joke thats like £8500!!!!
Wonder how much shipping is? Mbe $1000, add 27.5% duties and its all in at
£12k....
Dayam thats tempting!!!
What track chassis would you say is a good fit for this???
Think a mid mount would be v good for its size and weight....
Ford GT replica? ... too much for A/C Cobra replica right?
Hehehe actually got a perfect fit ---- a Massey Fergusson chassis!

Ask Sunil how many times I've talked to him about doing this already...
Although the V12 is very tempting, it would be a wiring nightmare to adapt the ECU and new wiring harness. I've come close to pulling the trigger a few times and popping one of these into my E55.

For you, I would say go for it! Your car doesnt have all the electronics and computers that these 55K cars do.
I would slap it in your car in a heartbeat and put a Motec or AEM or some standalone on it.
To be honest, when I was originally looking to TT my car, the thought of ditching it and picking up a C55 as the new platform did cross my mind.
When we started going the route of Twin-Charging I gave up on the C55 idea.
On your car, you dont really need to drop a V12 in it.. You could spend that money on your current block and build a heck of a bullet-proof bottom end.. (titanium rods, forged pistons, the works).. You could make 900hp with that V8 with no problems and save yourself some added weight to boot.

I'll "Project Manage" it for you and coordinate the build of the motor. We can put it all together, tune it and hand you the keys when its finished..
Just say the word and George and Sam will have that motor out of your car in a heartbeat..

Would even go well in a Murci !!!! without all the noise....
BTW this motor comes with ECU it seems....
I wouldn't drop it in an E - the K55 motor is just fine and plugging it in that electronic gizmo will cause all sorts of issues as Victor says - but that V12 is just begging to find a home in an appropiate track chassis....
Any "idears"?

I am still thinking along the lines of mid-engined unit - like a Radical - but a GT40 type layout would lend itself well to that kind of motor... needs more weight over rear wheels....
