Some fun with a VR675
Went up to see some friends on Friday.. One of them purchased a VR675 kit a few weeks back and wanted to do some street testing. We spent the day chatting and checking out all sorts of cars.
I shot some video throughout the day and compiled a short clip of the car.
The car makes great power. There was an SL55 with Renntech Stage 5 on it but he didnt get a chance to come out and play.. I would of loved to get some video footage of that..
I am going to be heading back up there in the next week or two and next time I will make sure to get some Renntech vs VRP video..

If it was my own car, I would... There are quite a few prowling the streets now so I am sure they will start hitting the drag strips soon.
This guy that owns the VR675 has a very unique way of measuring performance on his cars (he owns a built Protomotive 996TT as well as other fast cars).. He takes them to this secluded area he knows about.. He starts them from a stop and accelerates to a fixed point on the tarmac.. His fastest speed so far was 150mph at the end.. Sort of like what the TopGear guys do on the runway.
He tried it with the VR675 E55 and hit 185mph!! He was so impressed with the car.. He's told me a few times that it is his new favourite car now. Now he's asking me to do the heads and see what else we can do to the motor.

That's nuts!!! Are you saying a VR675 hit 185 on that stretch while a Protomotive 996TT only hit 150mph?
Alright Vic, give me a 1/4mile prediction. I promise I won't hold you to it but please humor me.

I dont know if it was done with the Protomotive or not.. He just said the fastest he's ever done in that stretch is 150mph. I just sent him an email.. waiting for reply.
To be honest, my goal from almost 3yrs ago was to see a 10sec run without nitrous and to break the 700hp mark. I think we can get into the 10s with this engine package, a good tire and the built transmission.
Waiting for the first opportunity to make this happen.
I think the VR700 car that is coming up from Houston with the top mount coolers we are developing will be the first to attempt this.
