I know this is an AMG forum and many of you are just general car enthusiasts so I thought I would shear this vid I found on a car that has been discussed in many threads on this board. http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/04/25...1-hits-205mph/

First I believe that is the ZR1...second, since the introducion of the C5 in '97, GM has finally produced a car that can compare to any sports car on the planet..more so with the Z06 and now the ZR1 'versions'. But they have also improved on the quality of the vehicles ..especially with the C6 and the optional leather interior packages. The current Z06 is still king of the drag strip and the ZR1 might even surpass it. Kudos to the brass at GM.

Since we are gonna go OT, I'm curious if anyone knows good or bad about the '07 and '08s? I hear that new '07s are still on the lot and going for over $15K off MSRP. If you are gonna buy anyway, is there a reason not to get the '08 or even wait for the ZR1?

Disclosure: This isn't for me. It really isn't. Also, it isn't for my boss either ( my brother)

The entire run of ZR-1's for 08/09 has already been spoken for. Watch for extreme price gouging if you want one! I previously owned #026 from the original ZR-1 production which turned out to be a super rare GM proving grounds/GM exec car also. I found this out after I bought it used. It actually turned out to be the 12th ZR-1 sold because the first 14 were used for testing and were crushed.

I owned an 07 convertible and now own an 08 convertible. Spend the money for the 08. The differences are bigger than 36hp would imply.

Absolutely love my C6. Nice companion to the E55.

You can get a new '08 for $10,000 off MSRP. Les Stranford, Boardwalk, or Kerbeck in Atlantic City will all give you phenominal deals on a brand new Z06.

Kerbeck kicks a$$. That's where my pops got his C5, which has now been converted into a fire-breathing Lingenfelter 427.

Yup...great guys. They treated me like a king. Top notch service and too-good-to-be-true deals.
