Its big and Grey!
Ive bought a new 2006 CDI back in 2005 and owned it for 2 years, then sold it do some home improvements and now its time to get another 4 door. Here is my old baby....

Currently I own a 2005 C6 corvette and I need to offload it before I buy anything else. I have a few leads so hopefully it will sell soon. here is my current toy....

Now I am at a loss. Not sure what route to take.... Buy a used E55 with the 100k warranty or save for a few months and get a c63 when it comes out. thoughts?

I had the same thing you did, E320 CDI w/Kleemann KD box. I traded it in for a CPO E55 & have been tickled with it.
Positive notes for the E55: Obviously, the supercharged AMG engine. Next, you have a nicer interior (full leather, alcantara headliner) digital A/C front & rear standard, bigger brakes, & normally come equipped with more options. No "sport" options available on the CDI as far as I know.
Negatives: 10 mpg city & 19-21 hwy. I enjoyed filling up & forgetting about it for awhile.
In transitioning from one to another, my insurance only went up around $5.00/month, which was a nice surprise. The substantial torque on the Kleemann diesel is blown away on the E55. This thing flat out pulls to almost 7k rpm, BIG difference from the CDI.
That said, I think it's a shame that MB & AMG don't do anything with the diesels here in the US. I'm sure they could make a 320 diesel competitive with an E55 if they wanted to. Bigger turbo, different programming & intake would make that thing scream. However, MB seems to think that diesel & luxury/performance are enemies & skimp on the diesels shipped to the US. If they would just look at the US diesel truck market & all the crap made for them, they might change their minds.
Anyway, I love my E55, I'm sure you'd feel the same way.

Now is the BEST time to buy an E55, as their prices are dirt cheap. The E55 is a very good all-around car for performance and luxury, you'll LOVE every minute of it

yup, that was the color. I had to wait for that car as I bought it when it was still on the boat. I didnt want a silver or black one that all the local dealers had.
