This is ridiculous, but also incredible. I am amazed by the people here. Maybe buying that C63 I've been eyeing will make me a better sleuth...

I know YOU called them, that was a little joke actually for davidmbowser@gm when he mentioned his company was try to raise VC for his business :p
Congrats on the step up to an adult's car! But look at all the troubles that came along with it... happens everywhere with every type of car. Looks like you guys are coming out not too much worse for the wear in this one fortunately.
With my VISA cards I can actually call in to the customer service line to review (verbally, obviously) the transactions that have not posted to my account yet. Perhaps you both could do this to expedite things and find out if it's really gone through.

Actually, I am just on the Board, I leave the hard work like fund raising to the professionals

Hey everyone. I'm the owner of LHforums.net. Somebody posted a link to this thread on my forum and I came over to take a look. I always like to see some scumbag who rips off a fellow gearhead get what's coming to him.
I decided to psot because I wanted to clear something up about the website he listed, getusedparts.com. That's definitely not his website. The site looks kind of sketchy, but I think it was just setup and forgotten about. I saw that somebody looked up the registrant and it traced back to Seymour, CT. I used to live there and now live in the next town over, so I did some digging of my own. I traced the phone number back to the owner's name and immediately recognized it. His family has owned a junk yard here since the 40s and they're a great group of guys. My family has been dealing with them pretty much since the beginning, and this is not something they would be involved with. The name of the yard is Seymour Auto Wrecking. They're main website is partshunter.com. The registrant of that other site runs their internet sales division, so I'm thinking he probably registered that site as a side business for himself.
I just thought I needed to clear that up because I wasn't sure if anybody was pursuing any action with them. Good luck to all you guys who got ripped off. I'll be watching this thread as I want to see this piece of trash pay.

I know you might be thinking we can't do it..its over. Was it over when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor...NO!

MBWorld Fanatic!
2. They get suspicious and post about it.
3. Perp is found to be a known parasite.
4. Linked to fraudulent ebay auctions.
5. Word spreads, and as info comes out, linked to other frauds involving people in other forums and in the past.
6. People from all over the world, are able to link back to him through IP's and
7. He keeps claiming innocense, but then the actual owner of the wheels speaks up. The pics were stolen, no wheels existed for the perp.
8. Buyers in his ebay auctions speak up, and we find he has collected thousands through ebay for the same wheels again, + xenon light sets
and other items.
9. The ownage becomes firm, as the evidence piles up.
10. Photoshop guru's able to strip away white areas blocking the license #'s and they become evident.
11. Attourney's, law enforcement, people working for DHL (the shipper)
all jump in the fray, and the identify and address is found.
12. DHL pull packages off a truck in Texas with the tracking #'s given and finds them not to be wheels, but empty boxes and books.
13. Perp issues refunds to the 2 people on the forum, but too late, and they haven't actually seen the refund yet, supposedly in process.
14. Admins from sites all over the world pool resources and find the many many usernames, email addresses and IP addresses used by the perp, and match them up.
15. A member gets pictures of the actual house with matching cars out front.
16. VIN #'s get run and match those of other info identifying the perp.
17. The evidence speaks. We are waiting for the arrest!

Call the IRS (and the State and City tax authorities) and they will instigate an audit of all his transactions. He will have to reconcile the account activity to his tax returns and that should keep him busy for a while.
In the process, I am sure he will take "care" of himself. This will be much faster than using local law enforcement. But the local law enforcement will pile on after the fact, then the civil suits can begin.
How do you spell nightmare punk "MBWORLD"
"Bubba the beautiful" is the least of his worries; the IRS doesn't use any aids.
