After a lot of hard work by Andy Ice Cold, here is the first stage of my E55 modding....

Tints
AMG Boot Lip Spoiler
AMG Mats
AMG Illuminated Sills
Renntech Electronic Lowering Module
6" Rear Headrest Screens
DVD Changer
Hardwired Pogo Alert

...looking meaner, and that lowering module is excellent - slammed down like this for normal posing and driving, and a press of the Airmatic button and I can still get up the drive at home

Genuine AMG boot lip spoiler - you'd think it would be a straight fit yes? Oh no - I fitted it with the supplied tape, and it peeled off at either end. So Andy refitted it with new tape - same problem, so the spoiler must have been slightly warped - so last resort, that nasty black windscreen adhesive - works a treat.

Couple of 6" Veba LCD screens, with a DVD changer in the boot - showing one of my favourite DVDs - Maisy's ABC There is insufficient space on the rear of the E Klasse headrest for a decent size screen, so we opted for a pair of nice clean leather clad pods to house these ones - thankfully my eldest daughter can't turn them off as there are no visible buttons

It's also had a remap whilst in Andy's care, courtesy of Lee at CarEvolution.co.uk, so an extra 25 HP, removed 155 limiter and a much more sprightly beast - we learned that Sprint Booster + remap = undriveable, so SB was whipped off again

The hardwired Pogo is certainly a necessity now

Thanks also to Dan (Chaos) @ Maybank for getting the grille sprayed Obsidian Black - 9 coats!, and for sorting the tyres.

UnfortunatelyMr Clever Clogs (me) managed to order the wrong size for the 19" AMG Style IVs, so they'll be part of Stage 2 - along with resonator delete pipe and a smattering of other goodies

Is there an in between setting on the lowering module? Front is too low for my likes, but the rear looks just about perfect.

The car looks great! Mabe you should get a flat hood badge?

Another thing I love about your car is the euro-spec bumper with no amber lights!

It's adjustable at each corner, but I have gone for the lowest setting that's suggested for the E55 and that can still go over speed bumps

Car looks great, reminds me of mine, minus the lip spoiler. Is that a stock painted grill? or did you buy it like that? I am really looking for a blacked out grill, save me the trouble of painting a stock one.

I heard from my bodyshop that the chrome on the OEM grilles is of such high quality, that once painted it can chip very easily. So I bought a very good replica on eBay....

...and had that painted instead - 9 coats plus lacquer

I love the look. Mine looks the same so I am one eyed. Personally I like that you kept the 3 pointed star out front. I would anodise or paint it like AMG used to do back in the 80s when they were independent tuners. (See pic) That is pure class from the dark side.
