I think TSW is looked down upon for the most part on these forums. Something about putting very inexpensive wheels on expensive cars.

I had them on my E55 only because I was getting my HRE's fixed and the 1k price tag was too light to pass up. Once my HRE's came back I sold them for the same price.

In regards to your empirical questions, they weigh about 30 lbs each and I ran ET32 all the way around I believe. They look great for the price but with that being said, the price is way low so I guess they dont really look that great afterall

I think remembered the OEM 18's weighing 28lbs and the rears were right at 30 lbs or 31 lbs... so pretty much the same.

I have them also. I think I paid around $2500 package deal with Michelin PS2
Also mine are chrome. Just couldn't justify spending $5000 - $6000 on wheels
that would get nicked, scracthed, dinged up in the first 100 miles or so.

AMG E55, Stage 1, Strait Pipe from Primary Cats
The only AMG forged wheels made are on Black Series models. The rest are "all" cast. Most AMG,Brabus and Lorinser wheels are poured cast which is heavy and porous due to the pour cast process. Actually a lot of the AMG reps ebay (taiwan/china etc) are pressure cast which means the wheel material is shot into the cast which is solid with no air pockets hence a stronger lighter wheel for a fraction of the cost.

I have had the same set of TSW Bremmas on my car for the past 3 years. I like them and get plenty of compliments when I fill up at the gas station. The best part about them is that they are in-expensive, I just cracked a rim last week and I am in the process of replacing it.

I have a set of TSW Vortex on for my winter wheels. Took a fair bit of heat from those here...whatever. If they want to pay for the upgrade on my car, I'd have no problem with that! I also heard that TSW is made by the same company that makes some of the higher end wheels. I've had no problem with mine, like the look and love the price.
Go for it!
