C63 forum...
Anybody actually read some of the threads posted there???![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
"What color car should I get?"
"Is my gas cap really plastic?"
"Should I wear my seatbelt?"
"Will nitrogen in my tires make me faster?"
"Should I run 140 octane gas?"
"My C63 has a 6.3liter engine not 6.2"
etc add nauseum

How about the thread where a guy claims to go 20mph faster in a set of turns with his C63 than with his CKLK63 Black Series.
I'm not buying that.
To be fair, I have NO seat time in the C63, but I HAVE driven the CLK Black Series and that car does NOT drive like a Mercedes.
Your Mileage May Vary.

I also remember the post saying that the CLK B.S. is more or less a C63&that it's basically faster around a race course....The Black Series guys didn't take to kindly to that thread

AMG
Best is their incredulity that new M3 saloon beats it round the track. "it's just cos it has bigger tires" they whine and modded it'd be different. Yes, and were I to strap a Veyron engine under my hood I'd hit 252mph. Lot of kids there, they'll get on with the M3 crew very well.
PFfff.... People just excited to get this new lil car thats it.... Famous GUSTAV was so EXCITED he did 3 seasons of DVD's

Yeah, because of the bang-for-buck quotient on the C63, there will certainly be more young people who buy the car. There are some 'funny' characters that post in that forum, but also some pretty cool people. Every board has their share of the 'different' ones

I had considered a C63, as well - but now it's down to a used E63 or a '09 CTS-V.

2005 E55 AMG, 2005 E46 M3 ZCP
bang for the buck? a c63 is around 60-70k new.
a used e55 u can get for 20s now for a 2003 w211.
i could see a lot of kids shelling out 30k for a car much sooner than 65k for one.
same goes with the new m3, the skyline, and etc.
the w211 amg was a 90-100k car, but now it can be had for <30k.
bang for the buck would be buying a foxbody 5.0 mustang for 3000 dollars, spending 3000 dollars for gears, intake, exhaust, cams, and a rear end and some DRs, and running 11s all day long/

For me it's just replacing my daily driver a 335i. I am dissapointed in no keyless go since it's available on all other MBZ models including the C63 in Canada and Europe. I have Keyless go on my E55 and also on the 335i. The lease runs for 3 more months and I ordered a C63 to replace it.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

Completey my opinion but break-in procedure is highly suspect in oil consumption on a new car.Beat on it from day one&the rings don't seat properly or don't heat cycle properly&you most definitely will have longevity issues.

100% agree, every car listed on my signature has been done according to the book and not one of them has used excessive oil! Most recent cars = my 1st W211 E55 used 1 quart in 3 years (Now owned by Chiromikey) My current E55 has not needed oil in 2 years (all services done at recommended intervals). Just seems to make sense!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

And, not everyone wants to run a drag-prepped Fox body as a DD. It doesn't have the same appeal as an AMG car.

It's funny that you guys are biased against newcomers to the MB [and AMG] world - just for asking some dumb questions. You should light a candle rather than curse their darkness ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
