Remember, the #'s that you plug in are critical and must be accurate or it is all for not...

That was a lot of fun, despite the nasty heat. For the record, Jangy beat the yellow Z06 on that day @ that track. I personally witnessed this. He went down the 1/4 mile first, he even beat my car, and the 63s without a doubt, and sometimes I beat him. Although my trap was always higher, I got to see Jangys taillights more than once. IT was HOT friday, so I wasnt able to copy me best time of 11.7 or my best trap of 119. I think Everyone was running slower than normal that day. The 335s couldnt brake 14s.
I think Juicy said it best. Is the Z06 a faster car than Jangys car..Yes, Did Jangys car get down the 1/4 mile faster that day than the Z06?....the answer is YES. Anything can happen at the track, and Jangster just happened to beat that car on that day. I dont see why there was a 5 page thread about freaking trap speeds. Granted the trap speed tells you how fast your car is, Jangy beat him in the 1/4 mile that day. PERIOD

Thanks to Juice and rick for the hospitality, thanks to Jangy for letting me use your DRs, and thanks to Mike and Auktane for filming. Im sure the HD videos will be up soon.
Heres an awesome picture of my car lifting too (Courtesy of Auktane)

I have a bone stock 2008 Z06 and will save you a trip to the east coast if you want to run heads-up. I am local and willing to race at the next Fontana event.

Haha!! I like that calculator. It just makes everything look better. LOL at corrections. Thanks OG for the explanation and I agree that the track is no comparison to the street. About the only thing fun is the launch, because i just don't get to pull the gs in a straight on a street. Those DRs hookup.

Thanks Ed for being such a host, as usual!!

OG
OG, the website you listed is giving me very high numbers for the DA compared to the smokem website. Your website shows a maximum DA of 4600 ft while the other one shows a maximum DA of 3900 ft. That's a big difference Whoever is interested in correcting their numbers for that day, here are the correction factors for runs from 1 to 4 p.m. (this is going by the conservative numbers from the smokem website):
1) Subtract 0.6 seconds from E.T.
2) Add 5.7 mph to the trap speed.

OG, did you happen to measure the actual DA at the track that day by any chance?

not today, as much as we like to run in the "cold" we do run in every weather condition down here, DA was 2100+ today

EDIT, and those correction factors are a neat tool, but in my experience rarely correct, especially on MPH

That's the biggest problem with correcting with da, one person says 3000 to 3900 the other 3500 to 4200. Probably readings from different websites and if someone post's readings from an actual da meter we would have a third set.

Yep the reading can vary wildly based on where you are. Most people make the mistake of placing the meter too close to the cars artificially raising the #

I also use a website Albert and it is simply a tool, only as accurate as the actual measurement at the track. I did call ROB and told him what I would run. I ran it , on the number 12.6 @112.4 So from the 10000 corrections I know exactly what my car will do in each degree change, yes it changes my dial when there is a 1 degree change in temp. I actually lost my last 4th round due to not taking my times out to the 1000th, not adjusting for slightly lower temp, broke out . Every degree matters, no humidity left behind.

Albert, the 2nd set (given by OG) was the one recorded at the track (3800 to 4200 depending on the time of run), but Juicee's website DA calculator have been almost dead-on accurate in all our testing. We tested it with over 20 runs from 3 different tracks from 5 different cars, and the corrections gave us almost exact numbers to what we ran at sea level.
