There is nothing to be ashamed of
The Evosport SL 55 hit 127 and that was a suprise indeed. While 127 may look tiny to my East Coast Brothers I assure you this car in 40 degrees hits 132. Likely still needs work to hit 10.70's, 10.50's etc. I think they have a chance and hopefully will take it to MIR
The Stage 5 SL 55 seemed to trap a bit low 115-116 but the car came out great and Serge really learned alot. I think 100 octane may have helped alot.
12.1 was not going to fall due to the 95 degrees and 1237 feet of elevation. This is one hella fast SL.
Blue Monster's stage 4-5? not sure E55 hit a 118.75 and sub 12 seconds 2x 11.98. Mostly hitting 115-117 all day similar tho the other 55 attending.
Jangy, Juicee and Rarfinancial,
Our cars were close as they should be, stage 1 55 is a good match. The 63was outrapping the stage 1 55 but the 63 is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to launch due to TQ limit down low. 55's were in the low 1.80's 63's 1.90's. 55 out ET'd the 63 for the most part
My 63 did better in the 1/8th and seemed to slow back half vs the other63, overall we were door to door on our runs , within 1/100th all the way down the slips.
RARFINANCIAL hit 12.59 2x 112.32 and 113.50
Juicee63 12.62 112.56
Side by side was amazing and truly a challenge, couple .02 .03 reaction times allowed me to beat a slightly faster 63, Ricks car seemed to pull and then get stuck about a foot or so in front of me, musta have been the stock battery weighing me down.
Jangy was running alot , he was mostly lining up the faster stage SL 55 and E55. He did however come face to face with his Z06, a Victory Yellow 07. Perhaps the driver was aware he needed to defeat the AMG and he spun wildly at the line. Jangy had a great launch and beat the Vette accross by .5 MOV. No matter what the Vette trapped that race was captured by the AMG. Rick later in the day got beat by a modded C6 that was hitting 11.80's @ 118. Jangy was waxed several times by the other 55's and he also beat them. Is Jangy's car faster than Ed's , not right now...Is it faster than Serge, no. Is it faster than a Z? no, can he beat these cars , yes.
The 63's staying out of the 13's was amazing since if you rewind the clock to Nov 07 nobody could run sub 13 at Fontana in a 63 in 80 plus degrees. Well Rick hit 12.59 at 93 degrees and this is definately an amazing pass.

and something in the East. How would such cars that do low 11's over there do over here?I am not trying to start anything but I want to know why there are such differences. Please remember that I dont go to the track or the races, I drink at bars on the weekends and race on freeways.

How much faster would you say your Z06 is than a stock one and where would you say the gains are? Also, what kind of numbers would you think you could run on the East coast under typical conditions? I really just think Fontana is slower, period but maybe not
.
HAHA!! Very true!! Ed's car is FAST!! The only times I hung with him was when I had DRs and he was running 19" PS2s. Tires being the same I think he would kill me, especially up top. I can dig with the best of em, but no top end at all

Working on some intake as we speak....
If I plug in my numbers from Friday it tells me mine would run 10.60's @ 136+...I am not an E/T guy...The weak link in a ZO6 is the axles...If you continue to leave hard in a Z you will eventually break axles and that is not real world driving for me...But as I'm a mph guy cause it tells me that I'm making HP, lots of HP...My car with a better driver would run faster and quicker at Fontana...Probably high 10s @ 130+...But as I street race on the freeways in Socal my numbers tell me that my competition on the freeways are the exotics and bikes...I generally race from 70 on up and there isn't many that can hang with me and all I have to do is shift once from 3rd to 4th...My 4th goes to 165 and if someone wants to run past that, then so be it, we do...
But remember that you live in socal with terrible daytime air for drag racing...If you lived in the east with the better air @ sea level you could feasibly run those numbers you get from that website...
