The E55 at le mans
I was cursing the guard rail in the median as it was blocking my view! Guess I never realized just how huge an event it is.Nice wagon, BTW - wish I could take mine over there!

Nice wagon Marc. Any mods or plans to mod?

I think I will have to go down that route starting with a pulley kit and a chip upgrade. You guys have more choice in the USA and you cant be picky over colour if you want a wagon in the UK. My wish list went Milage, spec, year, price then colour but do rather like Silver. Cars in the US are also hell of a lot cheaper, a new spected up e63 wagon is circa $160,000 dollars in the UK with the current exchange rate and mine had a sticker price of $60k (£30k in sterling) thats for a late 2003, good spec and 24k miles.
So far done 4,000 miles in 7 weeks and just love the car.

Had two black cars in the past. Too much work to keep 'em good looking, esp. here in the snow belt. Beautiful though when they are clean.

I believe only five hundred (500) 2005 e55 wagons were imported to the US. I may be looking at going with an '06, but I here even less were imported. I saw the numbers here a while back and will have to do a search. This will most likely reset my expectations.

PS No, it's not as large as an SUV but expect the same lousy gas mileage (especially city driving) !

I only burn 300 gallons a year at 20 mpg avg. So I don't expect much of a hit on gas really. I actually put more miles on my road bike (bicycle) per year than my car.
