FS - Methanol Injection Kit with Controller $200

Top of the Line model. I purchased this for $500 + tax + shipping. Make me an offer. For E55s running high boost, this is the perfect power & cooling upgrade for instant boost. Been on the car less than a year. Model: Stage II (Vari-Cool Controller kit). Visit http://www.coolingmist.com for more details.

Much safer than Nitrous but similar super-kick when you need it. Using just water in this kit will dramatically cool down your engine when weather surpasses triple digits this summer but if you add some Methonal which is MUCH cheaper than 110 octane gas, you are adding 118 octane boost in a flash! Be one of the few to blow your fello E55 modders away with this unfair but safe advantage for the cost of a nice dinner with the family. No need to lug a big tank around in your trunk that only lasts for a few shots and certainly not as dangerous or such an intrusive install. This kit installs in 1/2 hour or less.

Here's a few links describing the benefits of alcohol/methal injection kits.

http://www.snowperformance.net/, http://www.alcohol-injection.com/, http://www.alkycontrol.com/ or http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.c...icle_info.html, http://www.aquamist.co.uk/ and finally http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_injection_(engines)

The only reason I removed it was because the HE was in the way of the resevoir and there was no other place to put the tank in a cramped C55 engine bay that already has a Kleemann SC and a bunch of other mods.

Similar super kick to nitrous??? Thats a hefty claim. You can mount the reservoir in the trunk

I'm going to dig up the chart Vadim gave me after he dyno'd it at GMG Motorsports but the AIT's were 95F after back to back to back runs. The gains were about 25rwhp because my HPS kit was only putting out 360rwhp before AND 389rwhp afterwards. At that time, I did not have the upgraded HE, Johnson pump, better Kleemann intercooler, etc..so the only difference was the effects of the ME-H20 kit.

I never did a before and after dyno with the Kleemann since Vadim never isolated the difference due to this specific mod as he piled on 1 mod after another. He has to make an appointment to get the dyno done at this partner's shop so he's too busy to dyno it after every single mod at VRP.

Vadim, If you are in the house please chime in to validate my claim.

SOLD!!!

Albert,
You are gonna LOVE this. Instant Octane, Condensed Cold Air and detonation prevention!

Please post your feedback on this forum but make sure you have it installed by a knowledgeable shop. It's not a DIY job for a novice but for a gearhead, no problem.

Why waste money on high octane gas when meth is so much cheaper and has much more octane 118-125. One tank lasts as long as 3 months if take it easy and 2-3 weeks if you mash it all the time.

It was tuned by Jessie from Speed Innovations after the Me-H20 kit. Vadim only measured the AIT's for me because I wanted to buy Code 3's FMHE but he told me not to waste my money since my AIT's were under 95F! I got it anyway and the resivoir was in the way of this MASSIVE HE.

If he picked up any power then the car was probably pinging on regular 93 octane. The only time these systems make good power is when your tune is very aggressive imo.

Nos > Meth-kit for power no comparison.

I'm not saying Meth>Nos. I'm saying it's safer (as long as you don't mix more than 50% methanol, ethanol or isopropyl), more practical, cheaper to refill, lasts longer and won't possibly explode when you get rear-ended!

btw...My car was tuned with Sonoco 110 by Jessie for both before and after dynos. EVERYBODY knows how AGGRESSIVE Jessie's tunes are...POS HPS was holding peak HP back.

iat's were 95f after back to back runs...is that post run iat's or peak iat's? i'm now even more confused, were you running this before or after you s/c'd your car? was the dyno gain peak hp or hp throughout?

This was at WOT peak temps acccording to the charts Vadim showed me. These temps were recorded with my pos HPS blower on while Vadim was working on my car at GMG Racing. Vadim, I need your help here about the temps since they don't seem to believe it.

95f is not hard to believe, i can come pretty close with my i/c set-up under the right conditions. unfortnately there are just too many questions that won't be able to get answered since you're not running a 55k motor. thanks anyways.

What do you mean? I'm running a Kleemann twin-screw that's putting down well over 200bhp over stock and it's still getting more work done at Vadim's shop today.

edit: Never mind. I think you meant OEM 55k motor... but I'll be glad to run any E55 in So Cal as long as Vadim hasn't modded them with his VRP700 and above power packages. j/k At least not until the entire engine gets bored out after my two weak cylinders give in.

it wasn't a dig at you, there are just too many differences to make a direct comparison. we don't have maf sensors, are our iat sensors located in the same position, i/c set-up is different, etc, etc.

Not at all. . I'm just curious why this MeH2O kit is not as popular with the E55 power hungry modders. It worked fine with me. Unfortunately Ahmad's advice about mounting it in the trunk came after I already sold the kit to Albert. Thanks for the tech talk. I always learn something on this board as I'm really not mechanically inclined before but now "Watch out Tige!"

I won't run any client of Vadim's because he'll make sure VRP blows away Kleemann!

Time slips and videos are coming. When temps dip below 100F I will be the first at Willow Springs this summer.

Should be fun, win or lose. When SC plays ASU or AZ this season I will give you a holla! btw...After I put 17" drag radials on and shed a few more pounds with Monolites I stored in garage, I will have a significant weight advantage.

AMGSC, I dont think your car makes as much power as a modded E55 since they can run way more boost than our high compression motors. But we have weight on our side. Good luck with your car. I started my headlight intake design today and I'm almost done

Just an FYI- A car tuned for meth that has a failed meth pump equals very bad news. And if you dont have safeties in place and you run out of meth/H2O its bad news too. If you dont tune for it, all it does is raise octane and reduce IAT's. I'm installing two meth kits on two of my friends RS6's.

You're right about the CR..At least until Vadim's next round but I would love to see your headlight intake design since Vadim is still looking into the scoop/intake mod but no updates. I think we share the same front end so your design should work on mine? If you can replicate your design, I think you've got a good market here and on other MB forums depending on how much it will cost. If it's under $300 then it's a no-brainer hit.

re: MEO2...I always check the tank (visable behind front grill) before I leave the driveway. It's good advice for Albert (the new owner). I also listen for the pump when I hit it and I can hear usually hear it.

I should get my car back from Vadim this week and post new dyno numbers after latest mods. Then off to the track for videos of runs soon to be posted as well. I think I've pushed this little C55 as far as it can go without major engine overhaul. Not sure about Quad-Turbo, twin-charge, bigger capacity engine anymore. Wifey is getting a bit po'd and I understand why.

My brother took my camera with him to europe but I will see if I can borrow a camera and post preliminary pics of the project. I dont plan on marketing or selling anything but if a few guys want me to modify their headlights I'd be happy to help Also, my design will be a simple swap back to original intake setup if people are afraid of rain getting into the motor. You can swap back and forth for the track or whatever fits your needs
